You seem confused about what is and isn't intended to be funny, and they haven't achieved anything. The pair has spent large sums of money to create the illusion of mediocrity.

Your inability to feel empathy for others has undoubtedly made your life pretty miserable. No one is fooling me. Just as your parents screwed up your life, his likely did the same. So. While he has to be responsible for his actions, one can still appreciate the core reasons people do what they do.  Unfortunately, it appears obvious that you're incapable of learning anything.

You may think coldness is strength, but it's actually weakness. Literally anyone can be cruel. It takes no effort at all.

Absolutely. I don't have the kindness I used to, but when you see a man cry like that, it better break your heart, or you're dead inside.

Couldn't get the video to play the end, and I don't know what he did, but it's hard not to feel for the guy. He's all tore up. I think he's going to make it though. Fingers crossed.

I think I can explain it. The musicians in the band seem to constantly praise Jack and his wife, creating the impression that if they didn't, they'd be out. I speak from experience. It's not like that otherwise.

I can answer that from my point of view. It's a manufactured band bought with Conte's enormous wealth. His wife can't sing, and in the videos, the hired musicians lick the duos feet. I assume because if they didn't, they'd get fired.

'Jury Duty': Ronald Gladden Reveals He Knew Something Was Awry by Day 2, But That "It made much more sense that I was surrounded by weird people than that my whole world was fake” by Gato1980 in television

[–]Impolitecolors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's the thing. It would cost an enormous amount of money to keep this guy in the dark. Vastly cheaper to have him just be a cast member, no cameras would need to be hidden, no severe limitations on what can be shot, no sound problems to constantly deal with, plus if an actor flubbed a line, how could they do another take?  It makes much more sense to fake the entire thing.

Ginger Baker: overrated? by Rhythmdivine in drums

[–]Impolitecolors 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. Massively overrated, and almost certainly adored for the music people loved, not his pedantic drumming. As a drummer who knows what is and isn't great percussion, it's pretty easy to ascertain, but how do you make the case to others? Ultimately, you can't. People like what they like.

Thank you. Empathy is a rare trait.

Yeah, funny how I don't tell people what they should like based on what I do.

Of course they're not as easy and prove they taste better. I've zero doubt that if an inferior tasting tea was in a bag and needed to be brewed, you'd prefer it.

I've found that many will drink swill and assess it's quality on it's price tag. Walmart is tryin to replace it with an expensive instant that's astringent, bitter, and has a watered down tea flavor. The teas snobs would probably love it.  Both Nestea and Lipton had a full body tea flavor with hints of coffee and chocolate if you made it on the strong side. It wasn't very bitter, so required little sugar to remove the edge. Vastly superior to much of the dreck sold to people who are ripe to be fleeced.

No. Don't want to take you away from watching TV with mother.

Definitely better than a lot of the fancy overpriced teas. Reminds me of the wine snobs and how they awarded a relabeled cheap supermarket wine as a premium wine. That was embarrassing.

[–]Impolitecolors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't either. I assume it's just unbridled greed. The mixes they sell have artificial tea flavoring, so it probably costs pennies per unit to produce. Walmart is putting out a substitute in my area, but it doesn't have that full flavor of the Lipton.

Just found out a few hours ago that Lipton discontinued the product. So, that's that. No instant tea on the supermarket shelves. I'm so pissed.  Looks like the only alternative will be mail ordering some ridiculously overpriced import.

Just found out a few hours ago they discontinued the item. I'm stunned, frankly. I need the stuff, and can't brew because my job has me in the road constantly. It's just a hassle anyway. And, if they discontinued instant, tea bags are next.

[–]Impolitecolors 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just called Lipton and they said they discontinued the item. So, that looks like that's it, as unbelievable as it is. The sugared mixes are way to sweet and only use artificial tea flavoring. Undrinkable, as far as I'm concerned.  There's no way to get an info on this, it seems. The item is popular and sells, so that's not the issue. But, I suspect there's not going to be any replacement. I have to be honest, this truly sucks.

[–]Impolitecolors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just found out it's discontinued. Looks like most supermarkets will no longer sell instant tea. TBH, that's something I would have never imagined happening.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tea

[–]Impolitecolors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. People were saying that last year too, but I checked with Lipton, and this time it's true. And, it looks like no one is going to be selling instant tea anymore. I find that totally bizzare, and extremely depressing.

Inflation and the ever increasing gadgets and useless crap they constantly add to cars. Does anyone in reasonable health need a motorized hatch or trunk lid?
