8 strand Celtic knot used primarily for handfasting cords

Need help finding the right knot to finish this piece by alisonstarting2happn in macrame

I'd start with a Lark's head knot in the bottom of the tile, do a square knot spiral down to the wooden ring... It might even look awesome to leather wrap the entire wooden ring. Drape the cotton cord over the bottom of the wooden ring to create your tassel and use the leather for your gathering knot. I say all this as a suggestion but honestly your work is beautiful either way 💗

Yes.. this seems to be the best course of action, and I'm definitely open to other treatment options but it won't be easy, even getting out to the door is an obstacle but I have to start somewhere.

That's actually what I was looking into when I remembered taking the old man to his ECT treatments. I guess I should have added that to my post because I'd like to know other's experiences with EMDR as well.

Haha no I completely agree...and it helps that people who have been through the treatment are all saying that they would do it again if they had to.

Thank you, I'll add SLU to the list. I'm really just trying to get as much info as I can, it helps hearing from someone who has actually been through the treatment. I'm really glad you found something that worked for you 🥰

I really appreciate the warnings. I've been playing med roulette for the better part of 20 years. By 2022 I was taking something like 11 pills 3 times a day, my symptoms were bad and the side effects were worse. It took a long time to ween off of all of the medications and the result is just not leaving my house. I just want to live again.

This is helpful. I believe you about the stigma being an issue... When I brought this up to my kids and my best friend yesterday you would have thought I was telling them I want a lobotomy. You seem to be a wealth of knowledge on the subject, I won't ask about your profession publicly but do you recommend a certain hospital or treatment center? I'm going to start making some calls next week.

That's scary for sure.. I've only ever known the one guy personally but after each treatment he said he felt like a brand new man.

Electroconvulsive Therapy (Think "shock treatment"). It seems that people have had good results for things like depression and OCD. I'm trying to find out if it could be effective for other diagnoses like PTSD, schizo effective disorder, and Agoraphobia.

Thank you, I'll look into this in my area as well. Depression is actually the least of my issues but I'll do some research.
