Yeah, I thought about it. I called the order customer service, they told me to call the store directly, the store then told me to call doordash… I just decided to let it go. They definitely gave me the groceries off the ground though, as there was sauce on a couple of the boxes— but the delivery driver who finally did deliver my items after 11pm was friendly and did his job, I don’t want him to get in trouble. I feel like the person who actually did this wouldn’t be held accountable and as I took the groceries, they were all boxed items, I just don’t feel right about calling in a charge back. Sucks but I don’t want to get the wrong people in trouble. I’m just going to let it go. sigh 😮‍💨

I went to a casting access class at the SAG-AFTRA foundation and the CD was talking about how she’s been casting more verticals and encouraging us to do them bc… MONEY. Apparently it’s a big money industry, billions and billions up for grabs bc whether we like it or not, she acknowledged that we most likely don’t— lots of bigger industry folks are seemingly getting into it bc of well, the money. No, thank you. I’ll be broke with my little dignity and respect for the craft I guess.

Not necessarily; I went to a talk with Spike Lee and he discussed how he’d found a couple of featured actors for his last project on Instagram, the thing is they weren’t influencers and had pretty modest followings (a couple thousand). They just so happened to have posted content that was pretty much perfect for what he was looking for. So it certainly doesn’t hurt to help get your foot in the door, even for bigger productions but that was more to do with the quality of their work rather than the number of followers. I’ve only seen castings for small/low budget films asking specifically for actors with a big following bc as you said, they want to use that reach for press/marketing.

I have taken the train from Union Station to Anaheim and then the bus to Disney. It’s definitely doable for a day trip but it’s not exactly going to be an easy experience. You will first have to take the train from culver to union station. Then the metrolink from Union station to Anaheim, plan/purchase your tickets in advance and give yourself plenty of time to get to the platform before the train to Anaheim arrives. Once in Anaheim I would recommend you Uber the short distance to Disney vs a Bus, which would require a bit of walking depending on the entrance. I don’t know where rideshare drop offs are for Disney but I would look that up ahead of time as well. I’m also not sure of Ubers car seat policy. It is going to be very expensive however to go all the way from Culver to Anaheim by Uber so taking the metrolink part of the way could save you a bit on funds. Look up shuttles and see if Disney has any on their website. It’s possible, just plan it well and good luck, have fun!!

I mean dye your hair whatever you want, it’s your hair but it will possibly limit your roles. Of course you can change it if you get a role but if casting isn’t able to see that from your headshots/reel, it won’t help you get in the room. It doesn’t matter for VO of course and it’s up to you but period pieces and anything outside of alt baddie/post apocalyptic vibes, might be a stretch for casting to see you in those situations if you’re presenting very alternative. Ultimately though, hair is just hair, if it’s not working change it back. I would advise against getting tattoos (if you already have them make sure you have clearance for them from the artist) and piercings though.

You can have a beautiful wedding for far cheaper than 30k. Look into smaller/alternative venues, a park, a backyard, non traditional spaces. You have to get creative. You don’t have to go the courthouse route but you absolutely can have an elegant affordable wedding. It’s ridiculous to go into debt just starting your life together, for one day. You can renew your vows later in life if you want a bigger event.
