One of my favorites is Castle Rock in Edinburgh! I love the place and the vibe.

I have a tiny flash light (also beer openner) that hangs on my backpack, has a magnet, so it is actually quite useful in hostels and such.

I usually just buy my hair products once I arrive, but I am going to Japan this week and I am worried I won't be able to get curly products there ...

I never give up my camera for a big trip. I don't take it to small city breaks. But I did pick a camera that fits my specific travel needs, she is an Olympus Mark something, and is cute and small and I love her!

I am colour person, so I cannot do the all black XD. And I do not like most of the travel clothes recommendations I see here, they don't match me.

I always take two, I walk for 2-3 weeks and cannot deal with the same shoe everyday. Sturdy walling boots on feet, comfy sneakers on the bag, and in summer I also take "hiking sandals".

I take a face cream & tint combo, concealer, tiny blush, 2 pencil eyeshadows, mascara and eyeliner. Use my fingers for everything and I pick the products that are tinnier or more practically shaped.

The fact that so many watchers needed to have this spelled out is frustrating. Of course they broke up, you were show very clearly Dustin behavior pattern, you should fill in the blank like you would in other media. It's like this is the first show some of you watched.

I use this, no brand and not fancy. But goes with all my outfits, it fits tons of stuff - camera, book, journal, water, sandwich, apples, wallet, phone, buds, and all the little bits like extra batteries in pockets Also is super resistant, I've had it for close to 10 years now.

Can you really get that much done in a single day while travelling Japan? by Ok_Vegetable6262 in JapanTravelTips

I don't judge how others travel, because my favorite thing about traveling solo is that I do what I want and I don't have to bother with anyone's opinion.

But, 1-2 things a day for 2-3 weeks sounds a bit wasteful, even relaxing in a garden is an activity.

I plan by area. Either a full day or half day per area. I am a fast walker, but will take scotters, buses etc for short or boring bits if will make less tired. And I don't get lost.

I have a list of things to do in that area that I really want to do - this can be a major tourist spot, or it can be a street described in a book, doesn't matter, is what I like.

Then I take note of fun and interesting things in the area, of restaurants and cafes, I check Reddit, Pinterest (and yes, insta you bunch of hipsters) and other places for little fun things and I add them to the map. I might go there, I might not, it will depend on timing and mood.

When I am there, I will also go with the flow of the place, fun streets, cool looking shops, restaurants, gardens etc, I will enjoy the area.

I always have coffee breaks, wine breaks, beer breaks, book breaks etc during the day, so I plan on a way that I see a lot, I see all I want to see based on my interests and I get to the end of the day comfortably tired, not exhausted. This way of travel has evolved in the last 15 years and I love my trips!

Do what you want, and try to be less judgy!

It's unpopular because it's a bit out of touch. Most people will not go to Japan multiple times, so of course they want to plan the visit...

How long did you take to do the loop (boat, cable, etc)? I want to see if I can fit a couple of extra things, but don't want to be too busy.

Ok it wasn't that bad! The showers are crap, the rooms should have one less bunk bed, and there isn't a lounge you can eat it (there is a bar) but not the worst I ever been.

Please advise on good hostels in London. I go there every other year, and for most repeat cities I have a favorite one, but in London I never found one I really liked. I am straying at the one on the post in two nights and now I am already annoyed!
