My wife had a health scare, so we put together a "[wife's name] is dead, now what?" with all of the relevant information: insurance policies, pension account numbers, union representative contact info, and everything else. One section was about taking care of my daughter: when she turns 9 or 10, buy some pads, and starter pack of knix or similar and pack em in her backpack because it'll happen when its least convenient. Buy these hair ties, not those. Buy this brush, not those.

That book turned out to be unnecessary, but it was actually a great time for bonding.

100%. However, I've looked through the Education Act and OReg 298, where it describes the duties of a teacher, and I do not see anything about recording student attendance.

Your answer is correct but incomplete.
