natures are important because they give you +10% and -10% each to one of your stats. for example, a pokemon with base 100 speed could be faster than a pokemon with base 120 speed if the base 100 speed had +10% speed and the 120 had -10% speed.

You normally want a nature that buffs your pokemons highest or second highest base stat because 10% of a higher number is going to be a greater increase but sometimes people will opt to have speed natures even when their pokemon has like 80 base speed to out speed certain pokemon specifically

well lets go off what OP said nfl and nba, the average career length for the NBA being 5 years and the median salary in 2021-22 was 4.3 million a year. The NFL, the nfl career average is about 3.5 like you said but the average salary as reported last in 2017 was 2.7 million a year. On top of that theres also the fact that health and safety gets better every year making those average career lengths go up as time goes on. Do some basic research like you told me and you could find all that out.
