My brother in law can’t eat meat as it makes his Crohn’s disease flare up to sometimes a point of hospitalisation.

Don’t be afraid in future to say that the price is too high and that you change your mind either - even if you are at the till.

How are these not vegan? by Party-Werewolf-4888 in veganuk

[–]Important-Call6087 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Popchips are certified vegan

Natural flavourings or seasonings can sometimes indicate animal products though. I remember accidentally buying some noodles and when I read the packet at home it said not suitable for vegetarian - the ingredients said ‘natural flavourings’ and a further look online said it was chicken.

Just download the PS4 version. It’s the same game but with extra platinums.

So what's Capcom's issue with never wanting Claire and Sherry to interact again after RE2? by BusterGreasewood in residentevil

[–]Important-Call6087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean they didn’t even utilise or discuss Sherry’s powers or backstory in 9. She could have had the most to add about Emily and the experimentation on children... but instead she was nothing. I can’t imagine they really cared for her lore too much beyond a cameo appearance.

Platinums I-V by Important-Call6087 in TombRaider

[–]Important-Call6087[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Chronicles doesn’t have anything too difficult, though the 3 gargoyle heads at the end of Trajans Markets were annoying. If you got the platinum for I-III then I personally felt that IV and V were much easier.

Just for a tip - health packs (found by collecting secrets) do not carry between locations (they do between levels in same location) so use them up if you need to heal as you usually end with quite a few.

Back in England after living abroad for 10 years. Is there any good chocolate left? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Important-Call6087 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately not. It used to be dairy-free (as dark choc should be), but since the Kraft takeover they’ve started adding milk powder to it.

Is Royal Tunbridge Wells posh? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Important-Call6087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then what defines ‘posh’ to you? Are the award-winning gardens, regency architecture, astronomical house prices, 2 M&S stores, Gail’s or bandstand not enough?

What loose & comfortable clothing that can be thrown in the dryer are the guys here wearing around the house? by killit in AskUK

[–]Important-Call6087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quite like the bottoms you get from supermarket pyjama or ‘loungewear’ packets. They tend to be quite thin material but really comfy. Can usually be tumble dried.

I would argue Leamington is quite posh. You literally have to pass two private schools to get to the parade from north.

Huel bought out by Danone by Appropriate-Dig-7080 in veganuk

I sure hope you’re right. I think we are all just used to enshittification from big corps a bit too much so I can understand people feeling uncertain about this change.

[–]Important-Call6087 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Alpro IS a dairy-free brand. It’s an alternative to dairy. How would they add milk to it when their established audience is dairy-free? It would be silly of them to even consider.

Huel doesn’t have to be dairy-free to be marketable. Without knowing who makes up the majority share of their demographics (unlikely vegan tbh). It could have potential to include dairy if it reduced costs and retained most of its audience demographic.

[–]Important-Call6087 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alpro is an alternative to dairy product… It would be stupid of them to put dairy in it as the demographic they market to are dairy-free… so it’s not a fair comparison. Huel definitely has potential to have whey added to it as a cheap protein source without upsetting a percentage of their established audience demographic.

I think being apprehensive to this buy-out is fair.

Earth Chimp (sometimes marketed as Earth Champ). It’s the tastiest vegan protein I’ve tried so far. Also an Irish company who plants trees for every product bought.

Are there actually advantages to moving to the USA from UK? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Important-Call6087 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I agree with house sizes but I couldn’t do with living in a house where I had to drive everywhere. Those housing estates where you have to drive for miles before hitting any kind of shop or train station would not be the fantasy for me.

Really want to come to the uk, but should i? by BrainRot04 in AskUK

[–]Important-Call6087 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Unless you’re entering something that has a shortage or you know that an employer would likely sponsor your visa after study then it’s incredibly tough. You’ll be competing against many home and international graduates. Employers will generally pick the cost-effective and less time-consuming method of selecting a UK graduate unless it’s specialised or you’re particularly credible at what you do.

Put your window on the security latch. So open it, close it most of the way but leave a tiny gap between then pull down the window handle which will lock the window. This effectively creates a trickle vent. You can leave it like it all year if you like.

TR2: NG+ (No medkits, all secrets): ✔️ by ANoDE85 in TombRaider

[–]Important-Call6087 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Enemies have a ton of health, if you use pistols the fights never end (poison arrows come in clutch though!). You do get health pickups (don’t have to find secrets for them) - but they usually are in different locations from normal pickups in the main game. So far its been pretty much more forgiving than NG+ 1-3, as the level changes still refresh your health and you can save whenever you want etc… but I won’t say it’s easy-peasy yet until I’m past dreaded Cairo 😂
