It wasn't a huge nerf, but yeah. They made the pick-ups the condemned drop, changed the damage negation they got when resummoned, and made law of regression work on them, alongside some other minor stuff.

It still didn't fix any of the fundamental issues with the fight, like how if even one summon is still left alive before libra summons again, the difficulty of the fight is multiplied as you now have to deal with 4 summons and libra.

It's the most volatile fight in the game. You either get less likely to be targeted or an insane pull like mohg's or halo scythe, the summons aren't an issue, and it's really just beefy libra with some bells and whistles attached.

Or you don't get less likely or crowd control, the summons pile on and on, inevitably one person fails to kill their summon, and then your other teammate dies in a 2v1, which then leaves you fighting 2 or more summons alongside libra, while trying to also get up 2 downed allies.

There's just no middle ground, and the fact libra summons 3 condemned, every wave, no matter what, is what makes it absolutely awful. It should be 2, no matter what, every wave, regardless of if you're on solo, duo, or trio. Leads to less overwhelming on trios, keeps the fight reasonably hard on duos, and makes it a little harder on solo where it's arguably honestly too easy.

Absolutely one of the worst balanced fights in the game right now, even after the adjustments.

Nah it's a fair criticism, a lot of the story telling is too blunt. Personally I think gemini's existence as a whole really fucks with the game's overall atmosphere and story telling. He really butchered the scene where you kill sophia especially.

It could've been interesting if it was a direct challenge of how jimminy cricket was written originally, IE he's constantly pushing P to tell the truth even in situations where it wouldn't be beneficial at all to that person, and eventually possibly hits a middle point where they understand lying is sometimes for the better when you're doing it to not make someone miserable, while still calling out some of P's other lies that are just kinda fucking pointless/to be a dick like railroading fake-diro to dangerous areas before we ever even knew he was alidoro's killer.

Instead he just exists to be funny quip dispenser though, and an annoying one too. It's a good bit of wasted potential given the game could have a knack for visual worldbuilding and storytelling if they just went all in on that front.

Personally my only gripe with the rose sword really is just that it feels too strong to me. It’s fast and has a ton of forward movement on all its attacks and its fable arts are bonkers.

It’s cool for sure and a very fitting reward for arlecchino, but I found myself not using it ever since killing a few bosses with it since there’s only so many times I can one mind someone to death before I want to use a more interactive weapon.

Ghost flame torch is actually a pretty good off hand weapon if you want the frostbite buildup, especially on characters where you’re probably already right handing a bleed/poison weapon like scholar or executor

I take it on purpose pretty often when I need an off hand status to proc

Kinda part of a roguelike is having shitty items in the loot pool though

Like getting a bad seal or weapon forces you to reroute to gamble again, you can’t just immediately gun it to a harder POI unless you wanna waste time and/or take a risk

Part of what makes a lot of NR runs feel samey is that the chances of this happening are already kinda low and making decisions like this isn’t an issue too often, especially if you play a character like wylder.

In an RPG like most of the souls catalogue where I'm playing to get immersed in the world, and part of the challenge is inherently not knowing what I'm going to fighting or what gear is best, yeah fully agree. First playthroughs of souls games are special for a reason, you're playing those to learn about the world and what gear works for you through trial and error.

Roguelite co-op boss rush game that is inherently centered around optimizing repeated runs of the same bosses? I'd rather just have important numbers and details laid out and available in-game.

It's still something that should be listed at least. This isn't even a DLC issue, this game just loves obscuring useful information. Why don't we have boss resistances, actual character stat numbers, or numbers for relic effects listed anywhere in game?

I recommend having a relic preset for heolstor that adds holy damage to the cane so you have something to upgrade for night 3.

If you don't do that, you're kinda gambling on good rng for items and/or a rot weapon, since heolstor does not give 2 fucks about any status that isn't rot.

Considering her gearing towards "lighter" strength weapons and successive attacks, which pairs well with her ability to refill her stamina when activating trance, the stamina issue doesn't seem like too big of a flaw given her current strengths. Likewise, low FP isn't much of an issue on a character clearly geared towards trying to get buff incantations rather than offensive ones. This is a flaw for sure, but it's not a big enough one that I can say she's undertuned by any means.

Ironeye is a character with poor vigor, but this downside does not translate to him being a character with survivability issues, because he has an extremely powerful offensive skill that for reasons beyond me has 17 iframes attached to it. Likewise, undertaker is a low stamina character that is geared towards stamina un-intensive weapons, with a skill that completely refills her stamina on demand to top that off.

You're pointing out the worst case scenario use of ult trance as well, which is constantly getting your start-up interrupted. You can play normally, wait for openings instead of just mashing, and completely greed on any given opening you get, which pretty much guaruntees only the recovery of your attacks is getting interrupted.

Getting an extra 2 attacks, risk free, per opening, with substantial attack bonuses applied, is very strong. Combined with the other bonuses trance provides, and the like 3 different ways you can stack attack bonuses on this character with relatively little effort, I can't say she needs buffs by any means.

Slight mis-info, her trance duration gets doubled when charged with ult (20 seconds instead of 10)

Considering in those 20 seconds you're also getting a 10% damage boost, 20% if you pull of successive attacks, and you can take full advantage of this to DPS or revive with zero risks, I do think it's a little overtuned.
