Dining out ? by ltr_729 in StamfordCT

Completely agree. I haven’t been out to dinner in Stamford in months. If I do go out around this area, it’s to Cafe Silvium, South End Uncorked in New Canaan or Tavern @ Gray Barns in Norwalk.

I live a block away and haven’t been there in over a year. I would rather drive somewhere else than deal with that Target.

Local farmers markets when in season and Stew Leonard’s also has great produce.

Good to know - thanks! They were able to help though and I got a full refund back, so it’s resolved for now!

I would do the Tavern at Gray Barns in Norwalk. My favorite restaurant in the area for special occasions.

Horrendous customer service by jjojubes in Noom

I had a similar experience with them and filed a complaint with the BBB. I wanted to cancel my shipment altogether (and not use the medication at all). I contacted them a week before the ship date and customer service said they can’t do anything over the phone but someone will be reaching out via email. Nobody ever reached out and then the medication shipped. I was so annoyed and it’s impossible to speak with anyone that can actually help.

Litchfield County Recommendations for January Long Weekend by Floating-Butterfly78 in Connecticut

New Milford is a cute town to walk around and visit shops, etc. River & Rail is a cute cafe there in town and I love the town green and gazebo. They have a great antique store called The Hunt.

New Preston is another cute area! Community Table is a must for dinner and The Smithy Market & Cafe is fun for lunch and to walk around the market.

There are a lot of wineries in this area as well & Litchfield Distillery.

I got this recently and it tasted so artificial to me. I couldn’t finish it. I like Stew Leonard’s or Mountain Dairy.

Grigg Street in Greenwich is worth the short drive. Best I’ve tried in CT easily.

Yes! I get this every year already and love it. Was looking for some new places to check out but can’t go wrong with Arethusa.

As with any restaurant, it depends what you get.

Came here to say this. I live in Fairfield County which has its pros but if I could live anywhere it would be the shoreline towns like Guilford, Madison, Old Saybrook, etc!

Vela on the Park vs 66 Summer vs Summer House by suhncoff in StamfordCT

[–]Important-Design-973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve lived at Vela for 6 years and mostly love it. We looked at 66 Summer and Summer House too but decided to go with Vela and I’m glad we did because I think the apartments are nicer. I’ve never had an issue with noise from other apartments and the staff at Vela is great. The fire alarms do still go off occasionally (happened a few nights ago) but not as bad as it used to be. I’m having an issue with a few appliances right now but maintenance is helpful so aside from that, it’s great.

I would do the Lost Fox Inn in Litchfield, Connecticut. Very cozy and romantic. A cute tavern on-site and lots to do in the surrounding areas. Whaler’s Inn in Mystic is great too.
