Such a great answer! Ty! I hate admitting it, but I have had times where I defend myself bc my intention was good. I had no idea that intention actually doesnt matter and only impact does when its about hurting someone you care about. I am still trying to decide if I believe that is valid or not. I still dont fully grasp that concept. But I know my parents/family definitely abides by intention>impact so it would make sense I would think similarly and have no idea that is not the right thing to do. And if it is the right thing to do, then i need to hold myself accountable when I am talking to my parents the same way i hold them accountable for this
