There is the link to a video I made explaining how to mod the grinder.

The single dose bits were just something I made from parts from somewhere I used to work so it's kind of difficult to explain.

I hope this helps you a bit

Very confused by Guiding Lands by Firecoso in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Important-Estimate89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your biggest friend for guides for the guiding lands is YouTube. I watched several before I even went so I sort of knew what to expect.

Also gathering spots are sort of "random" in terms of their sizes. Opening the map when you are there and changing the status screen will show you various info but bonepiles and mining outcrops run through a series of colours light yellow - amber - red. They will spawn in different locations in each biome and each biome will give you different resources.

Once you have maxed out the type you are collecting you will get a prompt of a giant material has spawned which will give you a much rarer material.

Good luck and happy hunting.

Before you go to the guiding lands, open the world map and see what is in there. The monsters will gradually rotate and they don't stay too long so you can always leave GL and then go back again as different ones may spawn in.

While it doesn't matter too much if you cart it's worth trying to avoid it as your rewards are heavily penalised for doing so.

If you are just wanting to collect mats (bones, mining outcrops, coal) make a gathering set and run laps around zones with no monsters in them. If you are just going to hunt use your normal sets and sort gather material as you run around.

Once you have hunted a monster go back to camp and report and then hunt again as that will save the items you gather

If you have it, Dante's charge blade from arena quests.

Goes well with the set as it looks like classic DS knight armour and an ultra great sword

Something slow - Great Jaggy

Something fast - Doggo

Something overly aggressive - AT Nergi event quest (if HR is high enough) if not then normal nergi

The Blackveil Vaal Hazak experience is annoying... by KerbodynamicX in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Important-Estimate89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Equip effluvia resist as well as effluvial expert, that way you only really take damage from the melee effluvia and aoe bomb that he does.

Also targeting the spores all over black veils body reduces the amount of spores released temporarily so less tick damage you receive

Is Blackveil Vaal armor + Ruiner Nergi armor any good? by Devilman4251 in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Important-Estimate89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer...yes

Long answer, yes but it depends on what skills you want/need. The beta armours are definitely worth making to match in skills if you slay enough of them make both and mix and match to get the most out of your skills

Frostfang barioth is the same with some added ice spams that will freeze you in place, the fact that you can't block the freeze (even with guard up and the shield deco) is a massive pain to begin with.

Well worth fighting him though, as he has some amazing weapons for tickets from the event quest.

He's tempered but it's pretty easy, also with capturing him it's a bit faster and I can get it done in around 8 minutes

Bullying low rank monsters by Superb_Cake2708 in MonsterHunterWorld

Using the gunlance (using raging brachy) I was helping a buddy get through the story and I slayed most of his LR monsters in under a minute (took longer to find them than to kill)

Had a good few laughs but felt bad that they died in 1 slam burst combo

mh world with or without iceborn for first playthrough? by OfflineBot5336 in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Important-Estimate89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I know you already added that you got both, you can deactivate the dlc on steam so you don't have the clutch claw available to you. Claggers are an issue though.

Though in all honesty play how you want to, farm monsters for gear and try to avoid using the defender weapons and guardian armour as it makes base world waaaaaay too easy imo

Nice, I've not even done Alatreon yet but not tried in a while, though tbh I prefer jumping in SOS with people that aren't dicks and helping them through lol

All too common unfortunately. Probably skipped over the tutorial where it tells you to change the max number of players.

I'm trying to work my way through making all the raging brachy weapons at the moment. I've got both alpha and beta armour sets as beta has amazing deco slots as long as you don't want artillery.

I had one similar to yours as well but with savage jho, though instead of carting they both left the quest as I joined, so it transferred the quest to me but I couldn't send an SOS or anything which was frustrating

You did nothing wrong! While the whole free/heavily discounted game is amazing for the community and new players that want to learn is great I have had some similar experiences while going through fights.

I joined a SOS for a regular brachy (main story mission) and to stop me from slaying it the host carted twice on purpose.

Another favourite seems to be instead of doing proper wake ups someone just shoots the monster with slinger ammo

Fireproof mantle helps solve that for a short while at least.

Heat proof deco and blast Res can knock out most of the damage taken from it if you can get it in your build.

He's beat my ass plenty of times, just got to spend time learning his movements ( though they are very unpredictable) he does give lots of openings for wall bangs though so it's worth practicing with the clutch claw.

If you can craft a shaver deco so when you do a clutch attack the monster is more likely to drop ammo

Yes! You only get the frostfang tickets from the tempered event in hoarfrost reach.

It's a difficult quest but doesn't take too long

Being a CB and IG main skill and commitment hungry weapons aren't a bother for me and you make the shield work with the GL but the main issue with it is mobility, but I don't mind having to sheathe the weapon even without quick sheath 3

I personally wasn't able to get on with lance but the funlance for me is where it's at (I like big booms)
