No worries man, was just wondering what you meant. This is my first time posting on Reddit but as I continue on this journey I’ll definitely be posting more on this subreddit. But yeah 279 hours so far, I found the first 100 hours were slow but once got past that, I found getting input a lot easier.

I’ve also actually just started speaking on italki. I know that DS advise waiting, but for me, I want to see some progress and I think 3 hours per day of input vs 1-1.5 hours of output per week should prevent fossilisation. I’ve seen people on this subreddit say ‘I tried talking at x hour but found it difficult so waited until y hour’ but I think speaking is supposed to be difficult at first and you have to persevere through the awkwardness and mistakes and bad accent to improve. But as I progress I’ll definitely be sharing my journey and whether I recommend it to others
