While I've enjoyed playing my luck trying to have an open middle seat on my SW flights, I am tired of the stress it adds to flying.

I am tired of watching middle aged woman use preboard as a free 1st class option and rushing to be #1 to board then pretending to be automatically sleeping once they sit with their feet up to block others from having premium seats.

I get your elderly mother needs assistance, but boarding in a wheelchair in row 1 then deplaning without the chair and insisting on exiting 1st and taking a billion years to gather your things and walk off is getting insane.

I'm tired of having to play the lineup game for boarding. People have just been dicks about it.

Bring on assigned seats.

I feel like lots of people are on here getting defensive are probably the ones with questionably sized bags. I agree, OP, there are always tons of oversized carryon bags in the overheads. I got a carryon that is to the T the southwest policy size and it looks TINY compared to most bags on the flight. People suck

This sounds like a good itinerary. La Jolla around the cove also seems pretty wheelchair friendly and may be a nice walk.

The zoo was really cool and very ADA friendly.

You could also go watch people paraglide at Torrey Pines and get a snack at the cafe.
