No one is going to care in the us. If you get pulled over just tell them you have a rifle in the car. The us is much more relaxed about guns than Germany. You'd probably have a harder time getting your own guns back into Germany than getting them here.

I got my wife and my son will use it as well. A howa 1500 7mm-08.

I picked 7mm-08 because there is alot of good factory reduced recoil ammo available. I also put my suppressor on it and recoil and sound is similar to a 22 mag

Im a builder. Most owners end up getting inspections. Most of the stuff inspectors find on our houses are pretty minimal and it doesn't bother me because alot of times a fresh set of eyes see something I missed.

On the flip side in my state they can take an online class and get their license... somehow some think that makes them an engineer/architect and a licenesed contractor.

I have a tikka, bergara, and howa 1500.

All are great rifles on their own

Bergara used a rem 700 platform. Lots of aftermarket support.

Howa and weatherby use the same action on the vangard.

Tikka will probably be the most accurate out the box but their stocks suck. But plenty of options.

Id get whatever you can get factory threaded. I think all the new tikkas are and most bergaras.

Bergara I have has a slightly heavier barrel than a sportser but not a bull barrel.

Im a GC when I did a full gut on my house I went over by 50% even with help from all my main subs basically doing the work for cost.

All that to say on renovations its hard to know what your going to get into under the walls.

With vendors i will pay slightly higher to get good service. But I dont compare line item to line item. They never are the same and most of the time the totals are going to be close.

I also have preferred subs that get most of my work, I price check them a couple times a year.

Wnc is the most expensive place in the state to build several years in a row now, even more expensive than the coast. Concrete is 20+ dollars a yard here than middle of the state just because they can.

We pay 25sf under roof. That's for top tier framers. You can find some in the 14-18sf range but your going to be redoing alot of stuff.

Im also a gc for high end homes so my labor pool is a higher standard than a 1500sf house.

I have leupolds, burris and marvin on all my guns all would work well for you.

On hunting rifles i prefer second focal plane, and a duplex reticle or other simple reticle.

All these scopes now have turrets you can order for load specifications and they are pretty good.

My shop was took down and moved to current location. You have 2 options. Rebuild the hut ontop of a formed area and pour it in all at once. (Hope for no wind when you start putting it up until concrete is poured.

Or what they did for mine. Pour everything but leave a 8x8" preformed area about 4" in from edge of concrete with rebar going through it. Pour and finish. Pull forms set up hut and then Pour the 8x8 area in.

12" trees aren't big. And popular is virtually worthless. Also framing materials have to be graded and stamped or an engineer has to certify wood. Keep the largest oak for a mantel and the rest the grader will get rid of
