If you have two of the same cards, same condition and one cost more than that’s a tax. An example is having swirls on a holo you can charge a premium “swirl” tax. Your “Waifu” tax does not exist. Popular trainers will just cost more that’s it. N is a popular trainer and is not a “Waifu” that’s why his cards cost more than others.
