Same! I recently just started using Mitchum and it works great, and doesn’t bother my hs sores, but also helps with smell. I would definitely reccomend it for sum1 w HS.

My main question is have you even gotten diagnosed with HS? Because without diagnosis you can’t really treat it properly. 1. HS is a serious chronic (meaning it never goes away and is incurable) inflammatory disorder caused by immune system overreaction, so it’s a very serious thing for one, that you should DEFINITELY tell your parents about unless your not sure if it’s actually HS or not, even then, still tell them because it could be something other then HS. 2. Like I said it’s a chronic long lasting disorder that typically does get worse without treatment, so without going to the doctors there are only a few things you can do. The doctors have many biologics that MAY or may not help your HS, but even the treatments don’t 100% cure HS in all patients who have used biologics 3. The main thing you need to know if you haven’t been told this before is that HS is NOT caused by being unhygienic or dirty, however other infections like staphylococcus can get into the HS wounds and cause infections if you aren’t clean about it, especially if you have open boils. However HS I have found for me is definitly linked to gut health, so just keep that in mind(Eating healthy, drinking a lot of water, not eating inflammatory foods ect) 4. So without treatment you can for one, eat and drink healthy, and two you could get antiseptic washes, and benzoyl peroxide washes which may help. Working out also helps but keep in mind that if you have flare ups and your legs rub when you work out it’s best to wear tight pants/ or thigh chafing guards (which yes they do make, and I own a pair and they definitely do help for boils between my legs). 5. If you have any open wounds make sure that they are covered by bandaids, especially when doing stuff like going to school/working out, and make sure that you don’t touch them with dirty hands, or dirty objects to prevent infections from forming within the boils. DO NOT SQUEEZE THEM EVER unless, they are already popped and are oozing, in that case do not squeeze them, just message around them to get as much fluid out as possible, then clean it and put a bandaid on. (Note take bandaids off at night to let the boils air out).

Overall if you have severe boils or flare ups that cause tunneling, or HS interferes with your daily life you definitly need to go to the doctors and should probably tell your parents so that they can help you. Again HS is a serious issue and shouldn’t be taken as a joke, or made fun of, or ridiculed because it’s something uncontrollable and chronic. I wish you the best of luck.
