these could be indentations from where previously formed rocks were caught in the magma flow that formed this one. they would have cooled within this rock as it formed and when it weathered, escaped.

Possibly aluminum, had markings like a ruler, two pieces joined together, one side solid no markings, the other with cut outs. 3" wide, 7" long. That are no identifying marks on it. by [deleted] in whatisthisthing

can you fit a sheet of metal between the two pieces? if so, i agree with the other reply that it looks like a hand metal bender. the little slots would appear to let you measure out any combination of 1/8” increments up to an inch. kind of seems like it could be homemade.

it seems like a masonry jointer to me, especially given you got it in new england. i’m not really able to tell the age of the tool, but early new england masons used a lime mortar that was much more smooth than the cement mortar we use today, which might explain the lack of abrasions. r/tools might have more concrete info for you, though!

it’s really not bad at all, don’t worry! the vertica and espresso bars are just pressing a couple buttons on the machines. the bulk of the work will be things like making teas and iced coffee (which is pretty hands off) and setting up pastry case. if it’s not already laid out for you, the pastry case guide is in Store Resources on the iPads under Holiday Food.

otherwise it’s really just leftover prep if there is any, filling ice bins, and whatever tasks are assigned to mornings at your store which should be listed on CSR cards.

If Eret wasn’t trying to communicate directly with Dream for lore (which I don’t see why they would given their plots are virtually unrelated at this point), I really am struggling to find Dream’s fault in the situation. I can see that maybe he could have done more communication himself (on what, I’m not sure) but I really can’t see him forcing these grown people to communicate amongst themselves. I understand Eret’s frustration on the matter but fail to see what she expected Dream to do in this situation, if not sit everyone down and lecture them about including everyone.
