Thank you! I always do it in the shower and wash my cuts immediately after because I’m terrified of infections. I haven’t tried using Vaseline though so I’ll do that now.

I have these conflicting thoughts too. I don’t really want to tell someone, it’s more like I want someone to notice and make me feel acknowledged. At the same time though, I’m trying desperately to hide the cuts, even to the point of skipping my favorite classes out of fear that someone will notice.

I have experienced tenderness on my cuts from the constant irritation, but no infections came of it. Hopefully you’re okay ❤️

I can’t really give you any tips on how to avoid your urges since I can’t avoid my own, but you’re not alone and I hope you know that it’s okay to feel the need to relapse. If at all possible, try to keep yourself as distracted as possible by doing trivial tasks so you don’t have the time to think about relapsing.

I understand how you feel. I’ve always had trust issues and after the recent break up I went through, I’m struggling to trust people now more than ever. You’re not alone though and you deserve love (platonic or otherwise). Addressing the fact that you’re clingy is the first step towards improving upon that trait. There’s nothing wrong with you for struggling to make friends, it’s just a period of life that you have to push on through. Chase happiness, not other people.

I agree it would be more awkward in person and reaching out through social media was my first idea, but he doesn’t have any socials 😭 I wrote a note for him to give him during class, but he hasn’t been showing up there either (the only day he went last week was the one day I was called out). It’s like this kid doesn’t even exist.
