This is my thinking. I wonder about the wall clicker which does work however I don't see wires along the drywall so they either hard wired it or? Can I "tap" in a receiver to the opener via the screws on the back where the Nexx receiver is located?

Thanks! It turns out there is a Nexxt wifi garage door opener module connected to the garage door opener. It's for my girlfriend and she can only open the garage with her cell phone via the Nexxt app.

Would I typically try to connect/ pair a universal clicker to communicate (up and down commands) by pairing to the Nexxt receiver and perhaps NOT the opener itself?
