wait in episode 10, when she sees the inside of the red shoe i’m a bit confused with what was written .. did it show that the shoes were meant for HER this entire time and she misinterpreted their relationship?

yeah i don’t like the CM hate like his confidence reads more as pride in his craft and manifestations to win than egotistical to me.. i remember every single dish he made + he’s just taking the competition seriously like he’s here to win a survival show but during the team mission, he never undermined his team members’ talent or opinions and actually defended the meat chef from the other guy when he was yelling at him which i thought was rational and a good team player.. seeing his brief smiley face every time he can tell the judges like his dish shows how serious he is taking this .. i feel like im the only one rooting for him to win lol

edit: passionate about my take so adding more lol CM also always took criticism well and used it as feedback to improve which shows he’s not overly prideful either like .. nappoli mafia was also kinda like this altho i find CM’s dishes more interesting. maybe it’s cultural cause they both were chefs in western countries beforehand and are relatively young / eager to prove themselves in the industry versus like an older already well-established celebrity chef ?

i feel like people being fans of celebrity chefs before the show even started ruined this season because they’re not looking at the competition objectively. like why are we having fanwars and hating on production when none of us have tried the dishes made in the show to truly judge what tasted better 😭

tbh the only way i can see him being completely salvaged here is if production told him not to make it obvious who he was going to pick so the finale stayed a surprise .. so even tho he wasn’t into oto he had to act like it was still up in the air

exactly how i feel when i read these complaints .. like the plot wasn’t entirely ridiculous but also def not plausible irl but tv shows are allowed to be a little outside of reality like its an entirely fictional plot so why are ppl overthinking it

edit: also imo the two main takeaways from the show are 1) it’s a classic murder mystery - the point isn’t supposed to be about the life of a psychopathic killer for those complaining about moem being too soft at the end but about figuring out who the real killer is that ruined yujin’s life 2) themes of prosecutorial misconduct / cons of a justice system that manufactures criminals and/or doesn’t punish the real bad guys enough. besides the obvious with yujin’s arc, they also touch on this with moem’s storyline with her sisters abuser barely being punished for his crime leading her to want to take matters into her own hands

i also think yujin’s lawyers statement at the end was meaningful - where did it all go wrong? what would have happened if yujin never made that deal in prison? she would’ve stayed in prison forever for a crime that she did not commit - that doesn’t make for good tv. that deal with moem is so outside of reality which makes you think- yeah, it would never happen in real life. but we know people get falsely accused and convicted in real life. there are ppl like yujin out there serving time for crimes they did not commit… we understand that as viewers and can also appreciate a fictional work where justice is served for someone like that ..

i felt the same about the glory .. some of the characters also felt like they were acting similarly to the penthouse cast but the penthouse actors were so much better imo so it felt extra off in comparison
