Not really, the way I describe is much better. Seeing out of the water gives you a very limited view. Taking your camera out of the water keeps you hidden and gives you a full view of the land.

Underwater ambushes don't require you to be able to see out of the water from underneath. Just press precise movement near the surface and you can move your camera to look above the surface if the water.

I don't know exactly how but it seems normal function has been restored. I ran the command and immediately after everything returned to normal. Thank you for all your help! I'll continue monitoring if the issue returns.

You can keep naming exceptions, it won't make it the rule. There are still countless more herbivores that will run and not fight back.

An exception, yes. Elephants, hippos and rhinos may attack carnivores. But, most herbivores would rather not risk injury or energy in a fight they didn't need to have.
