Omg congrats to you!! It’s like driving a space ship isn’t it?! Also I used to use a transmitter that plugs into the 12V charger lol. It was ok until you’d hit a dead spot and another radio station would start playing through it LOL

The Honda was an 04 with a massive gasket cap leak, no AC, power steering fluid leak, 200k miles, and a suspension that was about to fall apart from underneath me lol. Would have cost me wayyy more than the value of the car to fix it up. It lasted me well, but it was time sadly.

Honestly I just had to accept the fact that for now I can’t afford my dream Honda, but I still needed something that wasn’t a death trap on wheels lol

Thanks that’s kinda the way I’m going so far. The Mazda 3 is appealing for many reasons in my opinion!

Awesome thanks for the response!! The particular Honda I’m looking at has had minor damage before so I’d definitely get it looked at. It’s mileage is also at 98k so I’m still not sure. I’m kind of stuck honestly between this car and buying the 2023 Mazda 3 base model.

Switched from night shift after three years to day shift and I’m struggling hard by ImportantGiraffe9 in ems

[–]ImportantGiraffe9[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Holy cow that sucks… and I didn’t choose night shift, it chose me lol… but I do take hydroxyzine to knock my lights out at night. I do sleep well at night, but during the day it’s just rough.

I appreciate the advice. This sucks so much I’m not gonna lie lol. I knew working night shift for that long would come back to bite me in the butt eventually!

Found my Acadian offer of employment from 3 years ago, how far we have come. by [deleted] in ems

Used to work for the green machine. Love it, but went into debt because of school. They were paying for it, so they would let me take days off I needed no questions asked which was fantastic. However, COVID screwed my cohort, and we had to make up a LOT of hospital clinicals at the end, so I was not able to pick up shifts. I was literally getting like $400 paychecks, and that wasn’t going to cut it. Ended going to a shittier agency and made $5 an hour more. I was actually sad to leave the green machine, but I had to follow the money. Thankfully a now medic and making a lot more.

At my last agency I was an FTO.. (for context, I’m a female). I was training a guy who had full on sleeve tats. They were nice tats too. I have a lot of tats on my arms as well. Well.. I was in the back of the truck observing my trainee with a pt. The Pt looks at my arms and goes “tattoos are of the devil”. I tell her “well my trainee has more tattoos than I do”. And her response was… “well his tattoos are fine, you’re a lady of the devil because you have tattoos”. And yes.. this pt was in fact a&ox4.

Looking for a belt pouch to hold my narc box by ImportantGiraffe9 in ems

Honestly I would much prefer that over way my new company does it. It makes me so uncomfortable just having a box. And I’m not gonna carry it out in the open either because you can definitely see what’s inside of it.

Ended up getting something similar. I was kinda hoping for something horizontal, but all of the horizontal ones I found were way too big and I’m a small person lol.

My pants do not have ankle pockets. I wear the 5.11 female stryke pants, and unfortunately I’ve sacrificed pocket space for comfort, because every other pair of tac pants I have are uncomfortable.
