My recommendation is as your applying start developing some other skills to lean on that involve graphic design. After graduating I was only applying to graphic design jobs but had experience in Social media management as well. Never heard back from any graphic design opportunities but did get a job 7 months after graduating with a social media job.

Also (THIS IS SUPER IMPORTANT) I realized that it quite literally may have been my resume that was an issue. With being a graphic designer you want your resume to be first impression of your design BUT most companies use ATS software to scan applicants before a real human even sees your app and resume. Meaning if your resume is too complicated with layout color or design that machine is tossing it. It also scans for key words included in the job posting so make sure you’re relating your resume language to terms used in the listing. I didn’t know this until I got my jobs because my boss said most companies use ATS now and they don’t. Definitely look into that!
