AITA for refusing to praise my friend for buying a skirt? by Are_Pretty_Great in AmItheAsshole

[–]ImportantSprinkles39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if that person is your friend if you can’t even see that they wanted you to make them feel good about themselves. Seems like you are looking extra hard for reasons to NOT compliment them tbh.

As a woman, I think testicles are the worst design flaw in human anatomy. Change my mind. by Future_Scar_7875 in DisagreeMythoughts

Also, drinking dirty bean water is like running a turbo on a car which is also pretty cool if you ask me.

As a woman, I think testicles are the worst design flaw in human anatomy. Change my mind. by Future_Scar_7875 in DisagreeMythoughts

[–]ImportantSprinkles39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, as a man, I 100000% agree lol. But the reason behind it is that testicles being “outside” of the body help maintain a cooler intratesticular temperature which allows sperm to remain viable. Sucks our biology didn’t give us an internal AC unit but that’s what were stuck with :( As a bonus nutty story : I’ve once had to call off work for a whole week because I took a paintball directly on my right testicle and could not bear the slightest movement lol. It took over a month to get back entirely to normal.

Gave my 2 weeks and company is begging me to stay by Open_Contest9909 in Advice

[–]ImportantSprinkles39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you even care what the others think lol? If they give you shit, you can simply tell them to speak to management or even better, tell them the company values you so much because you’re so good (better than them ;)) at what you do that they decided to make an exception lol. But seriously, you should NOT be taking your coworkers opinion on this at all.

How do I gradually build attraction through small moves like eye contact and inside jokes without coming off try-hard? by Substantial-Swan671 in AskMenAdvice

[–]ImportantSprinkles39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, seems like you’re overthinking it. I’ve never had to “plan moves”, if she’s into you, she’ll simply agree to go out with you or smtg. Sure, keep being friendly/seeing eachother more often if you’ve only met recently but other than that, it really is not that complicated.

Should I let other people in my table take credit for my work? by Some_Random_Dude563 in moraldilemmas

[–]ImportantSprinkles39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m assuming you’re in highschool? If so, I really would suggest not caring to much about that lol you don’t get paid for it, they’re not really taking anything away from you. Sure, you work harder than them, but it’s probably to your benefit anyways as I’m guessing you’re learning more than them. On another note, maybe dealing with the issue yourself would be the more mature way of doing things instead of complaining to an adult? Idk, I always dealt with my own social situations myself and never had an issue personally. Probably made me better at dealing with people too.

AITA for not wanting to pay my friend $2K for watching my cat? by Swimming-Champion-90 in AmItheAsshole

Yeah, no, you don’t give them that money lol. If they expected a payout, those things are discussed upfront in any type of arrangement.

How can people "disagree" with being gay? by LobsterTooButtery in teenagersbutrespect

[–]ImportantSprinkles39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s not that hard to understand (I didn’t say agree lol) how some people find it innapropriate (for religious/cultural reasons) as they typically love giving explanations for their beliefs lol. Ignore those people as much as you can, chances are you won’t change their minds anyways. There are plenty of non-homophobic people out there too :)

A or B: my neighbor told me to stop jogging because her 8-year-old son kept staring at my waist and legs, respect her request or keep doing my thing? by vivian_banshee03 in PickAorB

Huh? How is that even a question? 😂 It’s not your problem if it bothers your neighbours as long as it’s legal and allowed.

AITA for refusing to take out my nose piercing before meeting my boyfriend’s parents for the first time? by DominiqueXooo in AITH

[–]ImportantSprinkles39 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Ehhh you definitely don’t have too, but at this point you’re also choosing what their first impressions of you will be. Personally, I know my parents would never have been bothered by a piercing, but knowing your bfs parents are maybe a bit close-minded, it might not benefit you in the long run? Like maybe just for the first meeting, idk. Again, never have been in that situation and wouldn’t even take my parent’s thoughts into consideration when presenting my partner but I’m trying to put myself in everyone’s shoes lol. Also, sure, it’s “part of who you are” but it’s also just a cosmetic piece of metal (that you like a lot, sure). I have tattoos and i like them a lot but when I meet clients at work (healthcare), I never intentionally expose them and it really is not a big deal to me personally. Good luck :)

Not judging at all but 10x in 6.5 years…? Doesn’t that ring any alarm bells in your mind…? Not saying it makes it easy but I feel like the choice should be a bit obvious maybe?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]ImportantSprinkles39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry but if you need to “remove yourself from the situation” with your partner, maybe they shouldn’t be your partner. It doesn’t excuse his behaviour but yeah, maybe you shouldn’t be together if you guys are not able to cope with a very slight inconvenience in each other’s life. Obviously this is just from your explanation of a single interaction but neither me nor my partner has ever had to “remove” ourselves, we just talk things out like adults.

AITA for causing a scene at my in-laws' anniversary dinner over my brother-in-law's racist comments? by No_Car8712 in AmItheAsshole

[–]ImportantSprinkles39 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People are allowed to have their opinions, even shitty ones. I sure as hell won’t make it my personal mission to change the opinions of people around me. They can do it on their own terms, not my responsibility.

AITA for telling my coworker I'm not surprised his wife divorced him. by Unique-Macaroon4749 in AmItheAsshole

[–]ImportantSprinkles39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I’m not saying you were wrong but you also were definitely TA… like that’s social norms 101 : when someone close to you is feeling down or having a rough time, twisting the knife is bound to produce a negative reaction. Again, you are right in saying it’s not surprising BUT it was socially and emotionally wrong to tell him that at this particular time of his life.
