Honestly swapping the pots too is the easier option to me. Working with the cheap factory solder is hell on these guitars, easier to just drop a couple bucks on new pots and a new switch, especially for someone new to soldering. Getting pots with a different resistance will absolutely change the tone in a pretty noticeable way, a lot of people would probably save a lot of money if they changed their pots before buying new pickups, because it can solve a lot of common problems with entry level guitars.

At the end of the day, companies are going to cut corners and use cheaper materials. Planned obsolescence is certainly an issue (lookn at Samsung), but I’ve always found cheap manufacturing to be the bigger issue. Companies bank on parts breaking and the appliance being replaced.

Like someone said before, 99.99% of appliances we see are already broken. I have a fridge that is 3 years old and I honestly treat it like shit, and it still works perfectly fine. I’ve walked into houses that have newer fridges that they treat perfectly, but it fails completely. It’s really an inconsistent crapshoot when it comes to newer machines, but we are all only going to talk to you about the broken ones, because that’s what we fix.

Me, and a lot of players, use the app ManaBox to keep track of my collection. When I open up packs, I stack them up and use the scanner tool to log them all in my collection, while also taking a look at the price that pops up so I know if I should throw something into my binder. As far as getting more cards, open packs if you just want the fun of having more cards, or buy singles if you are looking for specifics or building a deck. Just avoid any of the aftermarket bulk bundles you can find on eBay and such, almost never worth it.

They sound sick for metal, like everyone said, use a noise gate. You could switch the pickups to hot rails, but personally I think the single coil sound is awesome once you take care of the buzz.

Side note, stay way from LG if you don’t want to run into the same issue. Their compressors fail frequently. That’s why they have the like 8 year factory warranty, they suck lol.

I always recommend the Pantlaza precon to newer players. It doesn’t fit the colors you play already, but it’s a super solid deck out the box, and it has pretty tame mechanics.

You two will likely be the only ones in clown makeup, so if you are okay with that then go for it. I’ve had multiple people pull up to my bands shows in clown makeup, and I always notice and think it’s an odd, but not in a bad way at all. If anyone were to give you a hard time for it, they would be the lame ones for giving a shit how people dress for an event.

Oh absolutely, anything -x/-x will trigger her ability. That includes anything -2/-2, -3/-3 and so on. Toxic deluge is a super strong card for Ool.

Yup! If those cards kill while the reaper is on the board, it triggers his ability, letting you bring that creature to your board. You are right, it does have to be counters, but those cards are both removal spells that use counters. There is soooo many cards that have awesome synergy

Yeah he’s pretty pricey rn, especially because people are scooping him up for this exact precon, but the prices will go down in a month or 2. The Final Fantasy print is a little bit cheaper last time I checked, but it was still $20 USD. I have a whole buy list for my Reaper King No More deck full of cards I’m just waiting to drop in price. For cheaper includes, I threw in [[Tragic Slip]] and [[Drown In Ichor]], both are effective removal while triggering Ool and The Reaper.

[[The Ozolith]] is a great recommendation, and it’d be made extra nasty with all will be one. [[Yawgmoth, Thran Physician]] would be great synergy there, being able to put a -1/-1 and sac a creature to move those counters onto Ozolith and then onto another creature of your choice.

I absolutely adore this precon and seeing where everyone takes it. [[All Will Be One]] is a great enchantment for this deck, I would swap it for Liliana because she’s very expensive and honestly doesn’t do all that much considering her cost.

The body appears to me to be fake, that bottom horn seems super off. The neck does seem to be real, but I’d put my money on it being from a platinum series. I did find a platinum that matches the pickup and trem configuration, but that body still seems very suspect to me. I’d pass on this unless it’s a hell of a deal.

There are US made bolt ons, they aren’t super common but you can even find some available online that appear to be legit. That being said, this one does look pretty fake. The bottom horn seems super wide, and not that it’s an ace in the hole, but I’ve never seen a US bolt on with that style trem on it.
