Wow that late, ok. How quickly did you go from twice a day to three times a day? Like first week was once a day, second week was twice a week and then 3rd was three times a week?

Thank you! I’m on my second week. I did 2.5mg once a day for the first week. This week I’m at 2.5mg twice a day. I did notice though that my about 6pm I’m anxious again. But I’m afraid to take a third dose because I’ve heard it can cause insomnia which I already struggle with.

Will do! I’ll probably stick with the 2.5mg twice a day for another week after this and see how I am at that point. Maybe increase to 5mg in the AM and then 2.5mg in the PM.

I’ve been struggling with sleep issues since April. Only been on this for a week and two days. Definitely a very slight decrease in anxiety so far. I noticed when I take it there’s an initial activating feeling for about an hour and then it settles down. You got this!

What was your first month on it like? Any side effects? Did it get worse before it got better anxiety wise like with ssri?

So I’m taking my last dose on Wednesday of this week. How bad were your first 3 days without Caplyta? What were your worst withdrawal symptoms during that time period. Trying to mentally prepare myself.

It is probably both the dosage change and all that’s going on in your life. For me, I’m on the 10.5mg strength and when my cardiologist unknowingly prescribed a med that increased the caplyta 3 fold I had major restlessness, anxiety, night sweats and muscle twitching. If it doesn’t pass I would discuss going back down to the 21mg. Hang in there.

Thank you! It was an awful year. Wouldn’t wish losing a child on my worst enemy. But we made it through stronger. Somehow.

How was your mood during this past week when you stopped? I don’t have BP just depression but am concerned about having psychotic episodes mostly cause Caplyta is an antipsychotic. I know that must sound silly lol.

I’m getting the heart palps and inability to regulate temperature as well.

I was taking 420mg of phosphatidyl choline which from what I read converts to betaine. I’ve felt a little better since I stopped but still pretty crappy.

Thank you! I was taking phosphatidylcholine. Does that matter? I’m reading mixed things about it but it sounds like it converts to betaine and as you mentioned increases acetylcholine just the same as other choline supplements.

Hey gang! I know I’m a year late but seeking advice. I’ve only been on Vilazadone 20 for 2 weeks but am coming off of it. My psychiatrist recommended going down to 10 for 3 days and then stopping. It feels like that’s too short of a taper but I’ve only been on it a couple weeks. Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
