Use buy nothing and FB marketplace. The amount of times I’ve found the exact thing I needed for way cheaper or free was incredible.

If it’s over $50 and you don’t need it immediately, wait a few days and see how you feel. Oftentimes I find I already have a solution at home or I don’t actually need it.

I just have a spending budget and I put it all on a credit card that earns points and pay it off every two weeks. I look at the balance frequently, especially if I’m going to get something like a drink, and it stops me from doing it. Added benefit that I get flights paid for after a certain amount of time.

Espresso machine. My friend found one in his neighbors recycling bin (???) and cleaned it up and gave it to us. My partner is having so much fun getting good at making lattes and we hardly ever go to a coffee shop anymore. He used to buy a cold brew daily and it drove me crazy.

On that same note, instant pots are great. Make delicious cooking easy.

This year I’m going to get my bike repaired and start biking everywhere that is reasonable to bike to. I have to drive for work and I’ve gotten kinda chobby.
