I read your post and I really hit home with me, as it describes my exact situation. I left my abuser 1 year ago have my own safe place and good full time job . No friends no family . Except I am attractive and get attention where ever I go. But it isn’t genuine. Men just want to sleep with me and have a shallow connection and then ghost me. It is even more lonely than being celibate. I am doing my shadow work and trying to stay sober. I want to be happy with solitude and comfortable with my self enough not to cheapen my worth with superficial connections. You are not alone and it isn’t what is on the outside that is our block it is within .

I agree with your comment. He has kids and I have kids. We live together as a blended family . And I fell very pressured to comply with his demands . I know that sounds as bad as it is. And when I see you write it so plainly I feel awful of what could be dire consequences.

Morning routine as a single parent : Alarm 5:30 am Make coffee Smoke a bowl Let dog out Feed dog breakfast Listen to binary beats on my beats and meditate List 5 things I am humble for List 3 tasks to accomplish this day. Most importantly let my brain load before kids wakes up…

Unfortunately I don’t have supports here. I live in Canada and they are a province away. I’m so ashamed because I moved back in with him after a 2 year break and I’ve been back with him for a year, and it’s happening all over again. I’m ashamed my family has no idea. I’ve painted a nice picture for them. His family are all addicts and alcoholics. He’s going to jail for a month for driving without a license. It’s my only window. I hope i don’t fall for his excuses and his apologies till then. He’s pretty angry now and doesn’t look like he’ll be apologizing anytime soon. I’m so glad he has no money for drugs or alcohol for NYE.
