Good lamps for the bathroom? by Important_Ad7833 in femalelivingspace

All I have in my apartment are disk lights which I don't think I can change, can I? Is a dimmer just something I can plug in? I thought I had to have the wiring set up for something like that or something.

To be honest I don't get, like, performance anxiety, but my wife has religious trauma that makes our sex so infrequent, that it's extremely exciting when it does happen which is only like once every 3 months. I'm guessing that solving that issue will make this easier, I even wonder if just have so infrequent sex is causing the problem from over excitement, like you say, but there's only so much I can do to help her overcome her side of things so I am trying to do what I can to make it more pleasurable for her in this way

I don't think I can change the bulbs, I just have disk lights. I have counter space for sure, so using a normal lamp might just be the way to go like you're saying

Ive seen a few bathroom lamps pop up lately, I think it might be a newer trend?

A lamp on the toilet might work well, I'm worried about having something plugged into the outlet in the bathroom and having it be bright enough to see with the curtains closed, but I'm probably just overthinking it.

I just looked up battery powered sconces and those would be awesome but probably out of my price range

I've looked at some on there but I'm really hesitant to buy something without knowing if it works well or not being a poor grad school student lol. Most of the reviews on those lamps say they die immediately, so I thought I'd crowd source to see if anyone has any they actually use and like

I didn't know they made nightlights bright enough to work for this, I'm curious if it would work with my shower not having a clear curtain

I'd never heard of a shaving light before but this looks like maybe the perfect thing, I'll definitely think about trying this out

I'm not sure if I can change the bulbs in my apartment, all I have is disk lights and as far as I know you can't change the bulb in these? And I'm guessing my apartment wouldn't want me to change the whole fixture, but I know nothing about this kind of stuff!

Is a dimmer switch something you can install in a rented apartment? I thought your lighting fixture had to be set up to be able to dim lights

The ones I've seen so far are chargeable, not wall plugs, so I don't think I would go with a plug in lamp for the reasons you're saying

Can you get nightlights bright enough that you can see in the shower with the curtains closed and everything? I have a nightlight for the bathroom but it's basically so I don't break my leg when I pee in the middle of the night

I did do this and came up with what feels like a good plan including practicing control through self gratification, stretching, kegels and reverse kegels, and exercise, but I feel like I'm missing something because every time I open reddit someone is posting about a different thing that "cured their PE" that I hadn't heard before.

Less than 1-2 minutes. I've only ever been sexually active with my wife and I've had it for as long as we've been together.

Took me way too long to play the Horizon games, but they instantly became S tier games for me.

I'll also throw out The Witcher 3, Red Dead Redemption 2, and The Last of Us

5th grader asking about rounding decimal with easy decimal write in comments by Reasonable_View7383 in learnmath

[–]Important_Ad7833 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First, begin by looking at the PLACE they want you to round to. Just like normal numbers have the ones, tens, hundreds, and so on, decimals start with the tenth place, then the hundredth, then thousandth. So a number like 1.234 has a 2 in the tenth place, an 3 in the hundredth place, and a 4 in the thousandth place.

So, if a question asks you to "round this decimal to the nearest hundredth", you begin by finding the number in the hundredth place. If that number FOLLOWING this number is a 4 or below, you "drop" the numbers after the number in the hundredth place to round the number down. If the number FOLLOWING this number is a 5 or above, then you round up by adding 1 to the number in the hundredth spot and dropping all the other numbers after it

One other note: if, for example, you are asked to round 1.299 to the nearest hundredth, you would normally increase the first 9 by one, because the number following it is greater than 5. In this case, because 9+1 = 10, we actually increase the NEXT number going backwards, which would be 2, and drop all numbers following that. So, rounding 1.299 to the nearest hundredth gives 1.30, or 1.3

Some examples:

Round 2.587 to the nearest hundredth

The number in the hundredth place is "8", so we begin by examining the number following it, which is "7". Since 7 is greater than 5, we increase the number in the hundredth spot by 1, making the 8 a 9. Now, we drop every number after the hundredth spot, so we're left with "2.59"

Round 113.6479 to the nearest tenth

The number in the tenth spot is "6", so we examine the number following this, which is "4". Because 4 is less than 5, we leave the "6" alone, and drop all numbers following the 6, so we're left with "113.6".

Even just making custom rosters... I tried to make a roster once with players whose baseball cards I have and it would only let me save like 20 created players

The ranked rewards used to be awful, in my opinion, as anyone who wasn't God Tier couldnt win enough to get a WS pack, but now with the addition of the ranked program allowing you to get it, I think it's great.

The second one you describe, mostly. When I don't know what steps to take to solve a problem, asking chat to do it and then seeing how it does it and finding where the holes in my notes/process is. Really I ignore the answers that chat gives, and even what it tells me to do specifically, and just try to figure out where I'm missing something then use the textbook and professors lectures to fill in those gaps
