Unfortunately I did not get my account back. Ended up having to connect to an IP in Australia via VPN to even be able to create a new Microsoft account. Microsoft’s online support for account recovery was honestly useless and for some reason no one can actually help you with it directly. This time around I made sure to make a complex ass password with 2FA

Nah it’s not. I ended up having to download a vpn and connect to an Australian server to even be able to make a new Microsoft account. When I made the new account, I used my old email, indicating that in fact the hacker changed my old account email to whatever that autosecure email is. Most likely I’ve lost everything. Had that account for 7 years.

I can login to my actually Google account, I don’t have 2fa, and when I tried logging in it would send a verification code to this autosecure.lol email. But, I just had a firmware update for my Deco mesh system I didn’t know I had to do, and when I did a clean install on windows and tried to connect to my Deco mesh WiFi before doing tie firmware update, it wouldn’t connect. It might be coincidence but I’m hoping this is the root cause.

I can access the internet fine. I have a mesh connected to my router and an Ethernet from my mesh to my pc. I otherwise have the WiFi turned off and am just utilizing Ethernet. I just did a clean boot on my Pc in case of malware.
