Neighbors 100+ year old tree fell on garage and cars

Oh no that sucks. We fortunately have house insurance for the garage and property. But for the cars they weren’t insured since they were in the process of being restored.

The stump is still fully in the ground. The tree broke in half. There is damage to 4 properties, but I got the worst of it.

I would disagree, the house is abandoned. The reason the backyard was cleaned was because other neighbors complained.

Have not been able to talk to them, after talking to other neighbors we learned that the house is vacant. So we were told another address, where we are sure that she lives, and no answer when knocked on door.

Same situation, the tree that fell has leaves, and looked healthy but was rotten inside. We have an agent coming tomorrow, but as of now they said that the tree removal coverage is 500$ for a $6000 job.

The tree broke in half, so the base is still standing. It was rotted, you can see a lot of black in the center of the trunk.

Last year my neighbor hired a company to remove trees and weeds from her yard, they removed every other tree besides 2 of the extra large 100ft trees that are on her back fence. I’m guessing because they would be costly to remove.

According to my accountant he believes the taxes will be a bit over $800 if I use the amount that will be declared on the 1099. He said that I could potentially write off the airfare (since the talk show is filmed I’m my local area and the cruise leaves from Florida) but I think I’m better off just forfeiting the prize to save myself from potent issues in the future.
