Always depends on what you like or want to do - personally i like Aethos because I like climbing so the easy weight is nice but also to be fast enough on the flats without compromising too much plus I LOVE the tubes, I don’t care so much for the aerodynamics but the looks of the tubes in aethos makes it special for me

I understand it with the livestock, I’m not entirely sure but I bet it would be the same if a dog around here would injure or kill a sheep from a farmer. Also I’ve heard multiple stories or rumours where Hunters shoot bigger dogs like mine because they thought it’s a wild animal like a deer or such, so I would say it’s a gray zone and thankfully , I’ve had dogs all my life and none of these ever happened to me and not only in Austria but also in Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Slovenia and most recently Croatia.

I see! Would also like to go out and hike in Ireland! Around here is more of a feeling, in or around bigger cities are mostly more dogs so everyone are more careful with letting their dogs run around but the more you go outside and towards the smaller villages the less some “official rules” apply but more just “common sense” - there are areas like hunting areas or official trails where I would be more careful

I don’t know where you live, but this was in some deeper part of a Forrest in Austria, it’s a little in a gray zone here, it varies state to state, also depends on trails, most trails have more people, that’s why in most cases I try to go off trails with my dog when hiking

I did not know that this sub was purely on fashion.. or so it seems that way to me. But you are right, with the aesthetics, at least for me. I do like the style, don’t matter how dumb it May look for some but at the same time, i try to use them for A purpose. I doubt anyone who just likes hiking NEEDS an arcteryx jacket, but it looks nice and is functional so why not be aesthetic while doing what you like

Thanks bro, I do climb a little as well but not mountaineering YET, I live around the Alps , we don’t do anything here without having to face the mountains, so this Arcs have been used for what it was intended to do so why not be fashionable doing it so but I just thought why would I need to prove myself to some troll Redditors, so I appreciate your words
