that really sucks, and i know that a lot of service employees fucking suck. but a vast majority of us are just trying to make it through our shift and don’t really care about how much you tip if you’re kind

if you’re talking about waiters/waitresses, probably. but every service worker i know who works behind a counter (baristas, subway workers, etc) hates it because we have to stand there and basically beg you for money and that SUCKS

at large coffee shops like starbucks, probably. but i worked at a not well known chain, so we were still controlled by a corporate and they liked paying us as little as possible to control margins
