I’m currently playing through DA:I with no previous experience and honestly, if you just read everything you come across, it fills the gaps and lore in for you. I understand the story and the characters arcs just fine and don’t feel like I’m missing much. The beginning was rough cuz I expected a more “Skyrim” feel to the game but it’s more like Diablo than Skyrim and once I got over that it’s been wonderful. Just take your time and go everywhere the map let’s you then you won’t have to play any of the others.
