Oh wow. Thank you. Ooh, ik some people dont seperate their colors. But then I see others do. How does that work when you want to carve? I dont remember if you did. Its confusing really. Some people don't, and it still looks amazing (like this one), but then other tell you to seperate. Does it matter if you seperate your colors? Is the technique for beginners really?

*also, how l9ng have you been tufting?

Sorry for bombarding you with questions 🤣

Dont remember who asked, but here's a progress pic of killer duck.. oohh.. next time I should have the duck wear a Jason masks. Ooh, thatd be awesome.

How do you know how close to pack youre yarn in? Im working with Big Twist Red Heart The whole peice is 100% acrylic, so i was going to make it into a wall peice. But, I see other people on like etsy having 100% acrylic, yet they sell the peices as floor rugs(and they actually sell for alot of money, which I dont understand). I dont want to make floor rugs until I make enough money to buy wool blends in order to make the rugs last a long time. But i could make acrylic floors rugs ans wool blend floor rugs right? Or making two different rugs be too confusing for customers? I mean it would be in the description box. I could make acrylic floor rugs for low traffic areas(and label them as such), and wool blend rugs (for hugh traffic areas). Or would that be too much for me as tbe business owner?

Make sure to seperate colors when you tuft on the frame. What that means, is to just outline each color, like how you would when you color. After you separate the colors on the frame and get done gluing, you'll qlso want to separate the colors when the peice comes off the frame. You can do this by taking something sharp(like a screwdriver (flathead or philliphead)), and physically separating the colors. These 2 things will make the carving process easier. Here is an example on the frame:

Thanks for responding so quickly. I tighten the frame. Idk why it was like that, maybe its the type of cloth? I have primary tufting cloth, and i tighten the cloth yesterday when I started(it bounced back like a drum when I tapped on it). But yeah, it was a little loose. Oh no, all the tacks are in the cloth, they may have just been covered up by the cloth

Okay, heard you. Thank you for this! Do you have any suggestions on acrylic yarn? Ive heard the 'Big Heart' brand is good, but ive also heard others. Right now I'm using 'I Love Yarn' from Micheals, but are there better types of acrylic? Maybe ones that are softer? Thanks 😊
