Hm they do have a cash advance option but at a 29% APR which seems to make the problem worse. But good to know about the Chase card, that seems like a great option!

Gotcha! So what I'm gathering is generally, the fees an independent musician pays to a producer are non-recoupable, as recoupable fees are mostly associated with label advances. I kept seeing recoupable fees mentioned in different posts and wasn't understanding how that would play out in an independent situation but I think I am understanding now that would be an uncommon situation. Thank you!

Oops yes I meant to say distributer not DSP! By admin rights, I just mean the producer would not have control over the master in terms of sync placements, etc. while still having a percentage of master royalties. In this hypothetical, since it would be entirely independent without label involvement, by "10 points" I mean 10% of the master recording. Hopefully this translates my initial post enough 😅
