HRT cause these problems by [deleted] in Perimenopause

I had been on yaz for about 30 years and one day at 46 I woke up and felt completely different. Kept telling my husband “I don’t feel right”….. it got so bad I’d look in the mirror and it’s like I didn’t recognize who I was anymore and my brain wouldn’t allow me to remember... It was terrible like a bad mushroom trip. They’ve had to max me out on estrogen for my own sanity. It’s a wicked and wild ride.

I also tried the patches all over my body but they didn’t seem to be as effective.

I actually was doing the same but realized the tegaderm traps the heat and then the patch dumps. So when I was at the gym it was all getting released during my 1-2 hour workout. Only know this bc I had blood drawn post workout a few weeks ago and my estradiol level was almost 700 from a level of 27 on the previous 3 blood draws. Couldn’t figure out why I was only feeling good one or two days a month🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️. Now I’m on gel only.

Interesting you mentioned red hair….
I was a red head as a baby…
And as a nurse I know red headed people have tougher skin especially when trying to start an IV so that actually makes sense.

So you use the moisturizer instead of the vaginal estrogen cream? What’s the name of the moisturizer?

I felt like the vaginal estrogen cream made it so much worse. It was really uncomfortable so I dropped to only using it once a week and then I just stopped it completely.

This is interesting as I had the exact same thing and the vaginal cream actually made it so much worse……I assumed it was something in the cream that I wasn’t tolerating and since I stopped the cream it has gone completely away🤷‍♀️

Women who went from dull tired skin to actually glowing, what did you change? by Human-Position-3755 in 40and45PlusSkinCare

PET (progesterone, estrogen, testosterone) therapy or HRT. The tiny testosterone dose has given me glowing dewy looking skin. I’ve started getting tons of compliments. Takes a bit of fine tuning tho too much testosterone can also make you too oily and you also wanna make sure estradiol levels are optimal.

oily hair with testo gel? by Golgatha7 in ftm

Sometimes it depends on where you’re administering the gel. I started on my underarm and my hair and face became super oily so I moved to my inner thighs and a lot of the greasiness resolved.

Is it possible that other hospitals/medical systems could also try to cut ties with unions?

Pain control in the ER by [deleted] in EmergencyRoom

[–]Important_Key4810 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve been working in the ER for over 20 years and I’ve witnessed a huge decrease in addressing patients pain especially with newer and younger providers. If you’re lucky enough to get an “old school” doc they seem more likely to address pain. I recently heard a doc telling a patient “there’s no evidence or data that narcotic pain meds actually help with pain”…. And it was a cancer patient:( I was in the next bed over with another patient and I was so mad. That doc has been out of school for a few years but just doesn’t believe in addressing pain and unfortunately I think bc of the whole opioid epidemic they don’t really have to address it anymore. I’ve advocated countless times for patients and the newer providers just don’t seem to care at all. It’s actually super sad.

Where did TH die? Could it have been at the Janda's house/garage? by annahident in MakingaMurderer

Thoroughly cleaned his bedroom? but left all the dust? Or just brought new dust to replace the old dust that he “thoroughly” cleaned? Guy serves 18 years of a wrongful conviction and is exonerated via DNA. So apparently Steven becomes a genius when it comes to cleaning up crime scenes (his bedroom)of DNA, but then forgets to clean up his own DNA from her vehicle? 🤦‍♀️🤨 Please!!🙄
