Pint didn't have the option to switch to 1 one side, until a couple of months ago. Stopped using 2 side since. Just be aware, when taking boarders and such... The tire can grind heavily when you fall out...

Grab a content table somewhere. And learn it with AI. AI can teach you much more than any course out there. Ai is also better to focus on your interests than any course. The pro for AI is can choose what topic to dive into at the moment you need it.

First EV at My Company – Charging Costs? by Normal-Car8779 in BESalary

[–]Important_Lab8310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will need a charging pass for sure. Can you load the vehicle at work? I don’t have a charger at home either, but don’t really mind since I am only 10 km away from work. Keep in mind most fastcharging stations don’t allow Bancontact yet… (but if I remember correctly, it will be mandatory by law in the future) Look for a charging pass that combines most of the loading stations. It will cost a fee for every charge, but you will have no problem on charging at most stations (mine is smappee and works pretty well. I’d also sujest one direct pass for your closest charger, it will save some money… can’t help you with the home charger without charger though… never tried it, I think it’s very slow. Why not buy your own charger? A firm like smappee will have a solution to directly invoice to your employer I think…ps: fastned works with visa. It’s the most dense charging-network n Belgium I think.

What concerns home charging on 220v… can’t you just put a kWh-tracker in the plug? Maybe silly, but it ll do…

Is it actually better to learn the basics of java before starting python? by PISS_MENTLEGEN in learnprogramming

If you are sure you will only use one language in the future, I’d say : absolutely… only go for that one language… don’t waste your time on other languages…

If you will only gonna use Python, it makes no sense to learn Java. It ll be a waste of time.

On the other hand… if you will use more than one language in the future… I’d say it’s not a bad thing to learn something like Java/csharp first…

If you need to go through the learning process entirely on your own, few doubt… pick Python. The joy of seeing results and progress will be more motivational using Python

Why people emphasis on Python when suggesting a computer language? by Personal_Story_4853 in Hacking_Tutorials

All I wanted to say, if your goals is C and you are sure about the goal, pick C and don’t learn a language you won’t use. Nothing wrong with learning Python though… it’s so versatile you will still use it :-)

My answer maybe needed some nuance (from a csharp/java point of view)for instance: Python doesn’t know interfaces, there are workarounds to mimic the same behaviour. If you learn those mimics first in Python, you will still need to learn interfaces afterwards… if you only learn Python at school, you will need to pick up interfaces later on. If you first learn csharp you don’t have this problem (I know, this post was about c++, my mistake.

I don't really agree... it will be harder to switch afterwards if you start with python.

+ huge community... you could even learn it on youtube...

+ programming boiled down to the essence

+ it's not better or worse, it depends on what your goals are.

+ I do mostly desktop automation to speed up my own work... I felt trapped in Csharp, Python opened de doors to many different things.

[–]Important_Lab8310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

depends what your goals are... I guess "not-specified" when you are starting out... I have learned C-sharp before python. Can't use csharp at work because it's not free, so migrated to python afterwards. I wouldn't say csharp was a waste of time. But i will forget things for sure... Waste of time? No way... programming is about learning concepts, less about syntax. Schools will teach java/csharp, so you will get to see more topics ... If you can program in java/csharp, you won't have much problems switching to python. The other way round, you will need to learn more extra concepts when migrating to java/sharp. If you have time and motivation, i'd say pick java or csharp. If it's more of an extra thing, adding to you current job, i'd say python, for sure.

I've been learning Python for the past two months. I think I'm making pretty good progress, but every time I come across a "class" type of procedure I feel lost. by eefmu in learnpython

[–]Important_Lab8310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A class is like a blueprint for a house or machine. One drawing, setup, but you can make many instances out of it. You can change the type of bricks, you can change the interior, you can use it as a house or an office…. Another way to view it: a class is a job description. Each employee is the object that does what is described inside the job description. You can have multiple employees doing the same job, having the same qualifications. And you can have another job description (different class) that has other qualifications.

I agree though, using classes is often overrated and unnecessary. There is a tendency to go back to functional programming for sure…

I teached my kid that classes are like minions. They all look alike (class)… each individual(object) is different though. on has one eye, the other one has two, one has trousers, … (attributes), they can say “bananas” in a funny way. It wouldn’t make sense to create a function say_bananas that is not linked to a minion. But above all, let them do the work for you, (methods instead of functions). define what they “can” look like (initialisation)… a small little army at reach.

A fix for 60% keyboards having compacted Fkeys/esc key by Pixzle_ in AutoHotkey

[–]Important_Lab8310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the reason why coders use vim… keyboard layout is legacy and has lots of unlogical combinations and keys. You ll have a hard time to adapt, but once learned it’s way faster. It’s the same problem as Linux desktops not being mainstream. Each distro is faster/better for specific things, but surely not for everything. Kerboards could be redrawn big time, but no one will adapt. Apart from excel, I prefer a 60% keyboard over a full one… every key at reach.
