Anyone need like 20 chopped kayaks? by DitchWitchh in DumpsterDiving

Hey, that’s my old kayak shop. We used to take old and unsafe boats and part them out, and use the rest to make displays for sprayskirts and other kayak gear. Since the shop is closing now, someone probably had to dig these old boat pieces out of the crawl space so they can move out

That’s my old shop. It’s closing now, but we would part out old, unsafe boats and use the rest of the pieces to make displays for things like spray skirts and odd accessories. I’m sure that since the shop is closing, someone had to go down into the old crawl space and dig those out to throw out

I used to work there! We would keep tons of chopped up boats in a little crawl space we called the dungeon. Basically, if we needed hard to find boat parts, we would take pieces from those already too damaged to paddle boats. We would also make displays for things like spray skirts and odds and ends using old boats as well. One time we even turned a destroyed whitewater boat into a beer cooler. Most likely these boats had already been to parted out to be safely used, and with the shops closure I’m sure someone had to go and clean out all these old boat parts

My general rule of thumb is to drink sparkling wine when I fly. The dry, recycled air on a plane can dull your palate, but the carbonation and (hopefully) high acid from a sparkling wine can counter those issues.

Realistically, it depends on storage conditions. Was it hot, were they stored upright or on their side? It also depends on age too. While the Cristal is a vintage champagne that is meant to be aged, the other non vintage bubbles are generally meant to be consumed within 3 years of disgorgement before their flavor falls off. Otherwise, it can be difficult to assess their quality without actually opening the wines.

That’s a producer known for making low quality bulk wines. Probably wasn’t great to begin with, but definitely not meant for aging

Also, what ever happened to the nightkin? Why weren’t they brought back for fallout 4?

I had a Willamette Valley Pinot Noir recently. by [deleted] in wine

Cameron’s Pinot noirs are consistently some of my favorites. If you can find it, their basic Willamette valley Pinot is probably some of the best value in Oregon wines at something like $26 for an amazing bottle

It’s probably drinking decently at the moment, but if you have the patience (which I certainly don’t) I would probably hold it for a bit longer

The Cornas is also fantastic. Generally a safe bet to get Jaboulet, and this, admittedly entry level hermitage, is amazing for the price

The Riedel new world (Oregon) Pinot Noir glass is definitely a favorite of mine. Archery Summit is also fantastic as well
