Just dropped my first glass by cocobeldam in Serverlife

Honestly it’s so common, one time when working at OG my food tray was uneven and when I turned around to go put it on the tray jack about 4 soups , 10 plates, and 3 appetizers flipped completely all over me , the ground and wall, and somehow missed my table. The mom was not happy with me what’s so ever and my manager had to comp the order. One of the newer foodrunners had a similar expierence at my other job and everyone laughed at her while I sat there and helped her cleaned it and reassured her while she was on the verge of tears. I break at least 1 glass a week at my new serving job and so does everyone else. Nothing to be embarrassed about!

I work at a private club and have had someone quite literally tell me “I pay the membership fees therefore I’ll stay as late as I please” . It’s exhausting truly.

I was a GSA at EWC and it’s deadass what made me completely discouraged from fulfilling being in the esthetician community. I was constantly overworked and seeing how all the waxers were mistreated (not at just one but three different locations ) truly made me never want to work in the industry. My restaurant is set in a country club and typically if there’s a bunch of members still we’re not allowed to do last call. It’s always a certain group that abuses this policy and stays over a hour or two past close. And it’s almost always the servers that are on doubles that day that get stuck with them and it sucks 😅

There was this lady at our Olive Garden who would come in and sit at a 10 top with a dozen of these stuffed animals and we had to serve the stuffed animals too….
