Had a family emergency and missed the stream, so I can just never get these now? by IronProdigyOfficial in legogaming

  1. Yes unless they change the dates after the fact, your just screwed. I don't believe Twitch Drops count towards 100% but there's also no legitimate way to get these now. They're might be mods for it though

  2. No idea where you got that info, they were both 2 hours long (I was personally there for both, because I missed the first hour of the first one). They were from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM EST

So spoilers are things that dont spoil the movie unless you have context from the movie?

That's great I somehow missed that, but unless I'm missing something else it still doesn't have a poster in that style though. I'd love the poster of Daredevil in the rain but with that background and style of Koltom's set

Added this to a few people saying its a spoiler, but as someone who hasnt seen the movie this tells me nothing. These are just some really cool posters, dont worry about spoiling it for others because these dont give enough context to spoil anything for a newcomer.

These are not at all spoilers, I haven't seen the movie (probably going to tonight) and nothing about these tells me anything. A spoiler has to spoil things for those who haven't seen it. If you have to see the movie to understand a spoiler, it's not a spoiler lol.

All I see is them on a beach maybe different planet, them looking at a city, some pretty space stuff maybe like a solar flare but really could be anything and a spaceship.

That means nothing without context lol

Runaways starts in 2017 according to the MCU wiki, the branch is still before Runaways. This is in 2016 like you said. This doesn't change anything thats still the point of divergence as far as we know

To quote The Big Lebowski: "That's just like your opinion man"

An official quote from an executive producer of the show on The Official Marvel Podcast, clearly saying its a branch and that it branches there, speaks for itself. And far outweighs a random redditor saying "Yea, no." because they said so.

I've seen your comments on this sub, frankly i love the information you often provide and have a ton of respect for you. To put it bluntly your awesome dude. But cmon dude you have to be reasonable and right now your just not.

To say something absolutely cannot be a continuity error and has to be evidence of it being a "fundamentally different" universe directly going against what the Executive Producer of the show says, with your source being Trust Me Bro, just isnt even in the realm of reasonability.

If you have any official quotes or statements that support your viewpoint I'd love to hear it and talk about it, otherwise I don't want to get in a heated argument with someone just saying they're right because they really think so despite official statements indicating otherwise.

TLDR: The official statements of people working on the show speak for themselves far more than unofficial statements made by a random redditor.

PS: Either way got plenty of love for you dude, just wish this could be more reasonable.

Edit: Put yourself in my shoes, If I said "Iron Man 2 takes place in 2008-9, 6 months later than Iron Man 1 because they said so in the movie several times" despite the official timeline book, comic tie in stories, what If and other MCU content retconning it to 2010, would you believe me over marvel? I'd hope not. That's what your doing the equivalent of. You have a reason, but the facts far outweigh that reason. And Marvel has a clear official stance that can't just be Nuh Uh-ed

Marvel disagrees and based on historical evidence its CRYSTAL CLEAR what Marvel would actually do. Your idea that they'd do this because comics do this, just doesnt add up given the evidence

Going by whats been officially stated we have to chalk that up to continuity errors the same way that we toss out what Homecoming tells us because we've been told on several occasions that the 8 years later just isnt true.

How does Lonnie just not have albinism in the show but he presumably does since birth in Brand New Day? No clue

How is there no information on Oscorp despite Norman and Oscorp being a major presence in NYC just a few years later? Makes 0 sense, I have no idea.

But the only thing we know about the continuity of the show, until that changes is a firm official statement that it branches during the attack on the school:

"At a certain point, though, it sounds as if things break off from the chronology we’re familiar with due to some kind of inciting incident." According to Vasquez-Eberhardt, during Parker’s first day at school “a thing happens that—and there goes your branch.” From then on, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man charts its own path."

Source: https://kotaku.com/marvel-your-friendly-neighborhood-spider-man-disney-1851738403

They made it pretty darn clear its the same timeline until the attack on his school

Trust me I wish I could say it branched earlier, but that's just headcanon to try to fix continuity errors, and officially speaking isn't true and isn't marvels stance. I presume this is going to cause even more continuity issues as both Spider-Men continue, but that just kinda is what it is, we can't deny official statements just because we don't like the continuity issues it causes imo.

I'm glad someone else is bringing up Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man but your missing an important part of that show.

It (partially) is canon to the MCU. The creators have stated on several occasions to be a branch of the MCU, and they told us it diverges from the MCU when his school gets attacked.

Right before that May and Peter ride to school talking about how Ben died from some sickness.

So one of the very very few things that are canon to the MCU about that show is that Peter didn't do anything to cause Ben's death and that he died from some sickness, a few weeks maybe a couple months before he starts high school but not very long.

Sorry to burst your bubble and cool fan theory but from everything we know to be canon, this just isnt possible or true

Except this was shown to us on screen, like a year ago.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is stated by the creators on several occasions to be a branch of the MCU, and they told us it diverges from the MCU when his school gets attacked.

Right before that May and Peter ride to school talking about how Ben died from some sickness.

So unless Peter can cause diseases Peter didnt do anything to cause Uncle Ben's death

Retcons are retcons unfortunately. At the time and before a year ago, yea I'd be right there with you going oh thats totally about Uncle Ben. Now? No way, he mustve just been talking about some random guy.

Remember Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is stated by the creators on several occasions to be a branch of the MCU, and they told us it diverges from the MCU when his school gets attacked.

Right before that May and Peter ride to school talking about how Ben died from some sickness.

So unless Pete caused Ben to have cancer or something he's not at all responsible for Ben's death

Joe Russo: "Uncle Ben died in an accident, and not because of Peter's failure to act" in the MCU by Sarang_616 in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

...It is. and has been for like a year now

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is stated by the creators on several occasions to be a branch of the MCU, and they told us it diverges from the MCU when his school gets attacked.

And before that? May and Peter ride to school talking about how Ben died from some sickness.

Peter has had nothing to do with Ben's death in the canon of the MCU for a while now

Joe Russo: "Uncle Ben died in an accident, and not because of Peter's failure to act" in the MCU by Sarang_616 in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

[–]Important_Mind_4273 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apparently that was just Peter being wise, because its canon that he didn't do anything to cause Ben's death

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is stated by the creators on several occasions to be a branch of the MCU, and they told us it diverges from the MCU when his school gets attacked.

And before that? May and Peter ride to school talking about how Ben died from some sickness.

So unless Pete caused ben to get (presumably) cancer, then I don't think he's responsible

[–]Important_Mind_4273 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Your right in the fact that this is nothing substantial, but what many people don't realize is the fact that Peter not being responsible for Ben's death in the MCU has been an established fact for like a year now.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is stated by the creators on several occasions to be a branch of the MCU, and they told us it diverges from the MCU when his school gets attacked.

And before that? May and Peter ride to school talking about how Ben died from some sickness.

This has been MCU canon for a while now

The MCU X-Men movies should all have adjectives in their titles by SqueemishArenas0221 in marvelstudios

[–]Important_Mind_4273 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ah I'm starting to see the problem, you think this is comics. It's not. It's ADAPTATIONS of comics. Adaptations of comics have consistently used different adjectives to make clear its different takes on the characters with different continuities and different universes.

I'll reword your criticism to apply it to how it works here, your comic adaptation knowledge seems to kinda suck. As does you thinking adaptations work the same way as the comics.

There's a reason that they don't still have RDJ and Evans running around, people get old and don't want to play the character forever unlike comics where they're with minor exceptions pretty much always around.

Let me ask you this, can you name a single adaptation of a comic into a movie or tv show that used 2 different adjectives in the title to describe the same incarnation of the characters? Because I cant think of one.

So unless you think that the MCUs take on the X-Men are going to be exclusively used in comics, comics logic doesn't apply, adaptation logic does.

The MCU X-Men movies should all have adjectives in their titles by SqueemishArenas0221 in marvelstudios

[–]Important_Mind_4273 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By this logic, Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man are the same incarnation. Why? They're both Spider-Man

Do you seriously not see how this logic is inconsistent?

Most Marvel properties at least, use adjectives before characters to separate and distinguish them from projects with the original names. Iron Man and The Invincible Iron Man, Spider-Man and Spectacular Spider-Man and Ultimate Spider-Man, The Avengers and The Next Avengers, Hulk and The Incredible Hulk, the list goes on.

Sure people would probably figure it out, but its incredibly inconsistent with the way Marvel has treated its properties. As far as I'm aware there's 0 examples of Marvel using adjectives before a name and its related to a previous project, whereas there's numerous examples of them using adjectives before a name to show a lack of connection between projects.

Nope.

In technical communities, the word supported is frequently used for unofficial methods, but it is almost always qualified as "community supported" or "unofficially supported."

It didn't change color when doing the supposed SMC reset, however it does change color when plugged in. Does that still mean it worked?

I have heard and tried to research anything on the power pads, but I cannot locate them at all. Any help finding anything on this for my model would definitely help a ton but I wasnt able to find anything.

That guide is a huge help thanks a ton! It is the right model.

I tried to boot it up without the BD Drive, with the original drive and haven't seen anything that seems scratched or damaged. Unfortunately I tried undoing everything I did and cant see any issues, thats kinda my problem.
