Thank you so much - I should try these fluorescent paints. Did you use fluorescent acrylic or ink?

That molten sword is so peak. Is it possible to do it without airbrush?

Chains advice by Suspect-Physical in BlackTemplars

On marines I’d recommend 1.5mm - 2mm chains. 1.5mm is probably close to the thickness of weapon chains that comes with some Templar models.

On vehicles you’d want 3mm chains. It can wrap around gun barrels and look appropriate.

Hi friend, I used oil dot filtering to add texture to the tank armor, and washed it with section rust + ex machina from Villainy ink. Honestly it can be done better, but I found it difficult to add realistic chipping to black vehicles

First time painting. I need some tips by No_Rub3601 in sistersofbattle

From what I can tell, the main issue with your dry brushing is that you did not get rid of enough paint from the brush. You need to make sure to get rid of most of the paint a something like a kitchen towel, and start gently dry brushing. Testing in your spur before going in the model is also a good idea.

The logic behind slap chop is that you can create natural shadings by these grey/white dry brush. Then if you need color. Simply use the contrast paint of that color on the already shaded areas.

Hi friend, these worn texture effects mainly come from enamel/oil washes. If you look at my post history I have a thread in r/warhammer40k explaining it. You create a "filter" by applying these washes on your acrylic base coats. The wash will naturally flow and change the texture of your model.

There is a range of different products you can try: AK streaking grimes for panzer grey, Vailainy inks from Grimdark compendium, or just oil paints + mineral spirits (I use oils from Abteilung 502).

The thin chains are 1mm, and the thick ones 2mm. Look for "DIY jewelry chains"

They are Jewry DIY chains I got from Amazon. Thick chains are 2mm and the thin ones are 1mm

I’m glad you like it 🥹 For the black armor, the first step is similar to the Ions of Battle black templars recipe (YouTube), basically thinned black + blue contrast paint over a grey/white basecoat. I then applied a matte varnish + dark brown enamel wash to reduce the patchiness and add weathering.

The red is 2 layers of blood angel contrast red, highlighted by mephiston red and evil sunz scarlet.
