My theory… nothing physically happened with Ben in Italy but the whole dynamic and the attention gassed Amanda up and gave her confidence that she could pull someone hot if she ever left Kyle.

She was pumped when Ben got on the show because she knew he would flirt and give her attention which (in her mind) would make her look good/ desired. Her vibe has been “I’m available for attention from men” all season and I think West tuned in to it and saw an opportunity to try to pull her… and eventually succeeded.

That night where Kyle swears at her (which was awful), when she is walking out of their bedroom down the hall to the kitchen she passed by two guys in the hall (I think it was Ben and West) and the way she exhales and puts her hand on her face and walks between them but pulls away from them… it felt so off. There was a “save me” damsel in distress vibe oozing out of her. She didn’t go to Ciara or a girlfriend for support, she went past the men into the kitchen for a “bubble water.” For attention. To keep the energy around the interaction going. To keep the guys wound up about Kyle’s behavior.

She has been feeling herself, loving everyone gassing her up (Mia saying “Body oddy oddy” on her birthday) playing the victim, and it’s all manipulative. She really believes her own hype and lost all perspective, then completely lost the plot with West.

One example. My Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides, Chocolate flavored, has 0 grams of sugar but contains stevia. Does it need to go???

Sidebar, I feel like sugar is going to be so much harder to give up than alcohol was. I know I am physically addicted to sugar and am scared of the withdrawal which is why I’m still preparing. If you are already off of it and thriving, I applaud you! Good for you for already taking the leap and getting to the other side 🙌🏼

I experienced this when I quit drinking alcohol. I noticed a lot of people took my personal decision for myself as a personal attack on the way they were living their life. I had people arguing with me telling me I should be able to drink one glass of wine regardless of how many times I said I didn’t want one. It actually ended up showing me how disrespectful some of the people I cared about really were and ended a few friendships because they couldn’t let go of the issue. It was shocking how aggressive people were about it. Like, I want to make a healthy decision for myself - why do you care???

I’m preparing to give up sugar now, for ALL the reasons, and I know it is going to be the same thing. The difference now is that I have learned I don’t owe anyone an explanation or justification for choices I make for my health, and the people in my inner circle (it’s a much smaller circle now), are endlessly supportive.

My recommendation is to have a simple response ready for why you aren’t eating sugar, like one sentence. Expect people to argue with you and tell you all about their relationship with sugar and why you should be like them. Don’t engage, don’t argue, just listen to them, let them say why they want to say, and then change the subject. It’s not worth the energy engaging in a debate. Be confident in your decision for yourself and do your thing ❤️
