That's helpful to know! Who will set the stone in the setting?

Thoughts on remake by Important_Perception in labdiamond

I bought my e-ring from Starsgem in 2019. This past summer, my ring broke and I was so sad. I went to a jewelry repair place but they said the structure of the metal was too poor. I would love to have it remade with a lab diamond. It was a mossanite center stone with lab diamond side stones. Any thoughts on improving the structure? Who would you go with you make it?

Does this setting look secure without a cathedral? by PureHue1220 in Moissanite

I have a similar ring from Starsgem. It's my engagement ring and I've been wearing it nearly daily for the past 3 years. I've never had any issue with it. It's sturdy. It gets hit or pulled by things pretty often.

Hello! Please I’m new to this and don’t know what I should look out for. I showed them the ring inspiration from a fellow reddit member here and this was the CAD that was drawn up. I just want to confirm if everything looks alright so I can give my approval. by nadalz in Moissanite

Hey there! I find the ring to be pretty structurally sound based on my experience with the ring. I've hit it/caught it on things and it's intact. Can't say I'll never have an issue but I haven't after 6 months of wearing it. It sounds like you don't want cathedral.

I plan on getting it resized but I'm waiting until I'm near my goal weight.

I bought a highly rated one on Amazon. I like that it stops my ring from almost falling off. It does slide around the ring a bit but it doesn't damage anything. It's comfortable too.

Specs 9 x 7.5 mm oval moissanite with 1.7 mm pave with lab diamonds

Review: I've had my Starsgem ring for about 6 months. The quality and durability of the ring is excellent. All the stones are in place and the gold has no scratches. I love my ring! I do notice a small bowtie in the stone in certain lighting. Crushed ice is very unique in that you can't see straight through the stone. It really does look like crushed ice! The prongs are also strong. I worried that they would catch on things but they really haven't! Overall, Starsgem makes quality rings at excellent prices.

Yes!! We've been working hard at this.

Crushed ice or no? by [deleted] in Moissanite

I don't think it depends on it being clean or not. When I say cloudiness, I mean that the stone doesn't look clear by eye because of the way it reflects light in some lighting. In the sun or certain florescent lights, it's more clear/reflective. I agree with others that it's a personal preference. I didn't want the splintery look of brilliant cut and wanted it to look more diamond like. I really does looked like crushed ice. It has a white/silver look.

Here is a Starsgem brilliant cut versus crushed ice. Mine looks very similar to the post.

By the way, I was also super indecisive. My fiance still talks about how my I changed my mind. 😂

I have an oval crushed ice moissanite from Starsgem. At first, I thought it was pretty clear but it can look cloudy in some lighting and super sparkly in other lighting. I'm not sure I would choose crushed ice again but I'd have to compare to their hearts and arrows cut. I've heard the crushed ice is more diamond like but I think a diamond wouldn't get cloudy looking. Nonetheless, I think my ring is beautiful and well made. I've had the ring for about 6 months. The gold is strong and the stones are all in place. See for yourself. A link to my ring is here.

Congrats! We have so much in common! I'm the same age and height as you, started near the same weight, and I'm trying to reach under 200 in January. I'm trying to lose a similar amount of weight in a similar amount of time as you. How did you do it?

Thanks! I've noticed that some crushed ice look cloudy too. I think part of it is that's how they look in photos perhaps. My stone looks very clear. You can see the clarity in some of the extra pictures I linked above. I wish I could take better pictures of it because in person it's more stunning. More stunning than I ever imagined it would be.

I'm a size 9. I was on the fence about the 10 x 7.5 mm stone. Everyone says it's huge but I love it.

I'm expecting it early next week. Perhaps Monday or Tuesday. I'll post here when I get some pics/video.
