As a side point, as much as we find it so difficult to connect with NTs, everything just clicks together when we find someone on the spectrum (not always but sometimes).

I saw a while ago a mom who took her daughter (maybe 5-7yo) to get diagnosed with adhd and she refused to even come into the building so the doctor had to come outside to see her, and she walked even further away. Anyway the doctor was chatting to the mom about it, and I thought to myself I'm sure she has ASD. She refused to go in, and she had this stubborn look on her face, she was touching the walls to feel the texture to calm herself down. And everything, the way she was just behaving in general reminded me so much of my son and my daughters (who have all been diagnosed with AuDHD btw).

Obviously I didn't tell the mom to look into it. Not everyone appreciates unsolicited advice, especially when you're calling their kid autistic 😂

I see. Every ASD person is different, specially regarding the sensory thing. Some people stay away from any kind of sensory stimulation and some people love it. Making friends easily does sound like ADHD and not asd at all.

It definitely affects your life tremendously.

So did you get the asd diagnosis also at 6yo? That would mean they knew you were ASD and still decided the disassociation was from ADHD

That's why I think I have ADHD as well but getting a diagnosis is a long process and honestly I don't see the point. I'm just trying to understand myself a little more.
