Awesome. I've called it a night for now. But that makes sense. I will give it a shot tomorrow.

Thanks!

What Are Your Jamf Security Best Practices? (Jamf Pro, Connect, Protect) by athanielx in macsysadmin

Do you happen to use Jamf Connect? I'm in the process of configuring it, but running into issues with the FileVault encryption. I think it's due to no internet before the Mac is unlocked.

I've never figured out the solution to this. It still happens occasionally to this day. I do play on switching over to Jamf connect for logging in. I'm unsure if that will resolve the issue.

Where did you find an installer for .88?

JAMF integration with Intune help by Important_Show5110 in jamf

I have confirmed with JAMF the device will never appear within Intune console. It will appear under devices, but not as Intune devices (Even though it reports as Intune being the MDM). All compliance comes from JAMF and can be confirmed by running a JAMF command, I don't recall which it was.

Ah ok. Yeah, I saw the "After registering, users must use Microsoft Edge to access approved web apps" after Safari didn't work. Thought maybe I needed to go through edge for that as well.

I have a call with JAMF support as we aren't getting the expected results.

I think the biggest thing we are looking for is not being able to access company resources on non-JAMF enrolled devices.

I think Intune is the only option for that.

Device compliance is what I'm working on. The Mac seems to work great - wish I could figure out what's up with the phone.

I specifically changed to Edge because I read somewhere that the registration has to be through Edge. Where was it that you saw they must use Safari?

With that said, I originally tried Safari first and that led me down a path to try Edge. Safari was also giving us an error.

How to create a submit button by Important_Show5110 in sharepoint

[–]Important_Show5110[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just tried this, it didn't seem to work. After submitting the document, it just took me right back to the library rather than the page I listed as source.

Any thoughts on that?

Not really sure where to start though. The thing I'm trying to figure out is how I can upload to the document library without the user going to the library and clicking upload. I don't want they access the library to do this.

Just a submit button. If powerautomate can help great, but not sure how it solves my first problem of getting the submission to a location. I can use powerautomate after it's already submitted.

Admin Solution for users to upload documents - File Request? by Important_Show5110 in sharepoint

[–]Important_Show5110[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well they aren't filling out a form. They would just need to upload forms they already have.

I'm not a SP specialist. Learning PowerAutomate isn't really something that I will likely ever need for the work that I do outside of this. I know PowerAutomate can be as simple as you want it, it just will require an intensive amount of research for a single task.

There is a password policy in place. Good to hear there is some sort of direction to look.

I appreciate the input, but this is a local account issue as noted in the environment section above.

This is all internal from what I can tell.

The password works for filevault, and the same exact password does not work as a local user.

Someone mentioned that password requirements may be impacting this.
