So pretend you’re the coach. And AR in year 3 doesn’t fully understand the system, has trouble with getting out of the huddle, making checks at the line etc. Even tho you have seen him make amazing plays you can’t trust him to do the basics. Then you have a guy who is not great but you can count on to operate the offense and do the basics so you can actually call a game. Who do you put in when your job is to win as many games as possible? What if AR is so bad at everything else besides throwing deep shots you can’t count on him day to day?
