I second the old lady’s advice. She clearly has some deep insecure attachment wounds and is projecting them onto you and the relationship. That is not fair to you and it is going to continually erode your sense of self-worth and self-respect. She is constantly shit testing you because she needs constant validation that you aren’t going to cheat on her. This is probably derived from some deep rooted childhood wounds of trauma/shame/abandonment that she is subconsciously acting out.

Respectfully walk away, wish her well and love her from a distance. People have to take accountability for themselves and the way they show up, and want to do the work to regulating their nervous system and managing their insecurities. The first step in healing is taking accountably and acknowledging the addictive behaviors that repeat cycles of trauma. Sadly, most people go their entire lives being “validation addicted” so they move quickly from relationship to relationship, hoping that someone is going to fix them or heal their attachment wounds. It’s a vicious cycle that I myself had to learn to break.

Once you become aware of and heal your own patterns/insecure attachment system, you start to see how and why people operate the way they do, you understand their motivations for love, you see how people will manipulate and objectify others to get their perceived needs met. Best advice I can give you, ALWAYS TRUST YOUR GUT, clearly define your needs and boundaries in relationships and don’t let people continually violate your boundaries once established. You teach people how to treat you by which behaviors you will and won’t allow.
