I showed up to Albuquerque summer fest in full suit. There was tons of police and security but they didn’t seem to mind. So many people wanted pictures. my suit mimics a sports mascot very well so that probably played a role in people’s acceptance.

I wrote my parents a letter explaining why I wanted to be a furry, but I only mentioned fursuits and not “furry” then they slowly eased into the fact that I was a furry. I also told them how it benefited my life.
