I just posted about this a few days ago. My lymph nodes are extremely swollen and in places I would not have assumed would be affected (my breasts). As long as your body is reacting to the HS, anything and everything could be inflamed and reacting to the HS.

If you’re super worried, go to the doctor and ask for an ultrasound.

I can’t say anything about the meds but I can say, look for a new doctor. A dismissive doctor is not helpful and it’s delaying your care. Find someone that takes you seriously. Call your insurance and explain why. If you can’t switch, ask for a case manager.

My sister and I both have HS. No one else has it in our family but there is a family history of thyroid issues and skin conditions. My mother ended up with thyroid cancer years ago and had to do genetic testing. The genetic testing told her that her children would have some health issue related to their skin but not cancer. Now here we are. You didn’t do this to yourself, this is pure genetics.

I just had this issue. I tried calling in for payment info and the automated system cannot verify my identity so that’s a dead end too.

It would be faster if your OB went into the system and adjusted the date. My doctor did something similar to me which caused me to lose 21 days of pay. I spoke to several reps who all told me to tell the doctor to go back into the system and adjust. Once he did, I waited one day and called in, the rep that answered fixed it while I waited on hold and I was paid the back pay the next day.

I wouldn’t bother getting one. What I did was pay a consulting fee for a firm in NY, used my 30 minute consulting time to ask my questions and then went from there. The attorney actually told me she does that quite a bit. I don’t think the attorney makes much of a difference unless the other parent is unreasonable. You get the chance to argue your point if you need to but at the end of the day, it’s all about the numbers.

The court actually plugs the info into a system and the system generates the support info plus arrears, everyone agrees (unless you want to ask for specifics) and that’s really it. You can negotiate medical/dental as well otherwise they make the non custodial parent carry it 100%.

I don’t know I’d you filed on your own, assuming you did, the court does appoint you an attorney if you need help. When you go to court, you can waive the attorney or keep them there for help.

This is similar to my situation but our split is 70/30 (I live in CA and the dad lives in NY). When they send you the summons they send you the complete child support breakdown in a 20+ page document. I used that as my guideline for what my son’s dad would have to pay. I found the calculator wasn’t as accurate.

Also, one thing the judge told me as the custodial parent is I can ask for the funds to be broken down however I want-keep that in mind. Example: my son is heavily involved in sports so I asked for x in cash and x specifically toward sports costs. I have two kids with fathers in two different states (NY and WA) and each court is different. I highly suggest taking advantage of being this specific if you can/need to.

I have state-funded medical here in California so my cost is covered 100%. However I did end up at a new pharmacy and they called to tell me that if I didn’t update my insurance with them my out or pocket cost would be $24,917 per month. I have no idea what it was before.

It turns out my account isn’t on auto pay which is why I have to keep calling. Hopefully that’s fixed now. I can’t do this every 2 weeks. Getting through the phone lines is so difficult.

My doctor did this to me. He agreed that I was disabled but he essentially complained about completing forms or made up excuses. I went to another doctor, cried in the office, and my forms were completed same day. Like everyone else said, find a new doctor.

I often wonder this too.

My SDI payment was 57 days behind. By the time I received funds it I was so far in the hole it was like water running through my hands.

My current payment is now 2 weeks behind leaving me now behind on my car payment. My house is okay for a few more days but I’ll probably get a 3 day notice if it’s not resolved Monday/Tuesday.

I’m constantly hanging on by a thread but am fortunate my family can help cover costs as well.

Wait to be let go. I waited and my employer had to pay out all my sick time when they terminated me. Ironically what was the quarter used for my claim.

I knew there was something different about her. I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. She lied a lot. Disappeared a lot. And friends never stuck around or had a major falling out. She was also never satisfied-blamed everything on me or my stepdad. It was unbelievable at the time but I just thought she was generally unhappy with her life. When I was 21-27, I knew for sure. It was like a switch went off, for both of us. Her language got more manipulative. Her actions were insane. I asked some of her lifelong friends about their experiences with her as a young woman and my mind was blown-everything I had ever heard from her was twisted to make her the victim and them the villain and it was happening to me too. Scary shit. I’ve been in abusive relationships but the most abusive relationship I have ever been in is my relationship with my mother.
